  1. Don't forget the Irish soldiers of WW1 too,   There's an extra tragedy to them as  they were oft forgotten due to the Irish war of independence. Many of those who died and those who survived, where very patortic for the cause of a free Ireland. But Of course history often overlooks them due to serving under the british army.

As a once pacifist from Northern Ireland, I have very strong views on war and the aftermath, But remembering those lost is, well it's just the right thing to do isn't it?

  3. Hi there, my name is Robin. Hoping one day Lindens give us the ability to change our account/legacy/whatsmscallit name. Until then my usernamr on thr fourms is AylinVali, the name of a character who I created and redesigned numerous times. Her current iteration being a support character in a novel I'm working on.

I'm 29 years old, will be 30 in January.

From Northern Ireland, disabled and a non binary trans person whose pronouns are zey/zem.

Been on and off sl for a while but really sticking around now.

In SL I mainly roleplay, shop for pretty things and maybe the odd club or two depending on my mood. Started dabbling in photography but I am still just a beginner to it. Forever looking for more gothic/punk/gothic aristocrat fashion.

In the dreaded first life, I am a introvert and umempolyed due to ill health, the details of which I am not terribly comfortable about sharing in an open fourm.

I enjoy writing, playing video games(badly) and walking, I walk nearly every where.  I also enjoy music and my tastes can go from heavy metal to disney songs in two seconds.I Ieven enjoy rap and some country.

Been trying to get into jewelry crafting with mixed results.

  4. Like the title says, I'm looking for stores that sell delightfully dark clothing/accessories.  Searching both in world and  in the marketplace has left me lacking as most are either non existant or really seriously outdated. I have Maitreya +V-tech and a Male Slink body to work with.  So all suggestion, from mesh to appliers are welcome!

Ah, but the week after that involved nicking Dad's (second) best suit, stuffing it with whatever you could find, sticking an old hat on the top, and dragging it around the neighbours' houses to ask for a Penny for the Guy.

(Or am I just old? Okay, I'm old. But I rather like that we celebrate the only man to enter Parliament with honest intentions ;))

Remember, Remember the fifth of November.

    Aah, I loved that day.

  6. I want to weight in with my thoughts on this, but first.  Can people really pretty-please,  not  insult people by implying they are stupid or lack "congitve ability." The casual alebism is not conductive to debate and makes people like me, with actual learning difficulties feel uncomfortable at best.

That PSA outta the way. On to the opinions.

I don't think people are necessarily saying all experiences are bad, But that there is a potential and they should at least explain either through a sign or other means what they actually entail so that the experience is actually pleasant and fun. Which I think is pretty reasonable and  just common  sense really. Nobody wants to lead in blind to something that could be potentially harmful. It's why various media platforms have  warnings and age restrictions. So that people are not harmed.  Of course these measures are not always  perfect,  but  they can be refined and  so on.

At the same time there is also a good counter-argument that being too paranoid of experiences  is also detrimental and I can see that, especially when it comes to stores where the experience is  nine times out of ten simply a means to streamline  tp's and  make sure nobody can simply cheat their way through a hunt. That the chances of experiencing a truly abusive use of it in a store is pretty low.  But on the same  hand  low isn't zero.  It only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch for someone. Which should be respected.

My view is, It costs zero lindens to just simply slap a sign up going. "YO NERDS, please accept (or reject) the sim experience for: blah blah explanation goes here".  Leaving it ambiguous and accept or GTFO is kinda dumb.  But experiences are untimely not a boogey man.
