Do yourself a favor and simply trash it unless the creator will offer a copy-mod/no-trans replacement.
I dont have interest.
3 minutes ago, Qie Niangao said:If one simply had to do this, damn the torpedoes and the lag... an orb-like script could monitor llGetAgentList() to track the whereabouts of all avatars in the region to make sure they approach close enough the specific furniture item(s) to qualify for sitting on it (them). If their llGetAgentInfo switches to AGENT_SITTING, then llGetObjectDetails will determine if their OBJECT_ROOT is the furniture of interest, and if they didn't approach closely enough first then llEjectFromLand will dispatch them.
Are in Marketplace such kind of ORB-s for sale? Those who are able to detect avatars sitting actions and measure distance between avatar and furnituse? Right now I dont want to start coding it myself, because first I want to put all stuff working in my new land and castle.
3 minutes ago, Qie Niangao said:With Modify perm, the relatively new feature PRIM_SCRIPTED_SIT_ONLY could be used in the furniture item to be much more graceful about allowing seating only when somebody is within reasonable seating range.
This sound interesting. For furniture that allows modify. Is there in Marketplace this kind of already completed script for use?

My intention is not ban avatars from my land. I like more to implement situation close to real-life - just lock the doors. Because I like avatars go to my land, but I want to choose in which part fo castle they can access. I have some security server (inworld) that can sent whitelist to all doors. Double-click teleport is also disabled with teleport routing. Right now I have only choice to use my powerful GWS ORB, that is able to protect areas by exact corners. Drawback is that I must first also set up ORB whitelist. With locked doors I can still allow avatars even when doors are locked, just sending to them teleport invitation.

Hi, how to protect avatars sitting from distance? I have nothing against anyone sitting, only I dont want they do it from distance. Into furniture script I cant put, because half of them are no-copy, no-mod. But I can do anything other, but what exactly?........Maybe to put ORB? But maybe there is better choice, because ORB dont kick out immediately and then I must also make allow-list. ORB is not very good choice.

The topic is UP again! And this is interesting - where I live in real life, but virtually? Go from virtual real-life to virtual second-life.

When you using some VPN service, example Im using pureVPN for my mailserver (2.88 usd month for VPN itself), then I think you can set also USA as your contry and set your VPN through USA. But I still dont use it, because network speed and latency through VPN is not as good as direct connection. So, I still use my VAT. I dont know, maybe Im stupid.

Underwater buildings ARE possible, you just can't waterproof them or pump them out...
No, then they ARE NOT underwater buildings.
"Let the buyer beware" is Standard Operating Procedue in SL's Anarcho-Capitalist Business Market, there is virtually NO Trading standards or Consumer Rights Legislation in SL.
Who told you about "anarcho-capitalism"? From where you learned it. Personally I never sell something that dont work as expected. I just dont cheat customers. And we still have mechanism also to force others sellers not to cheat. Example I can stay endlessly mention this, name sellers names until they just die. But from other point of view this is not also sellers fault only, because in moment when they put product for sale, waterproof buildings worked as expected. But they must not continue marketing, when they know that underwater buildings dont work anymore.

I dont discrimitane nobody, I love all residents as my own childs. 666

Very good then. Yes, the invisitexture wasnt really very good, its was badly controlled and robust.
-
So, I understand this underwater buildings is right now not jet implemented and not possible. Do Linden also told when this feature implemented in future or not at all. Some future planning?......Because in marketplace there is lots of underwater houses and when customers buy those buildings, then they dont get what they want and its not very fair.......And yes, now I remember what was invisiprim, I forgot it.......When all those underwater homes are made by invisitexture scripts and its not working anymore with new viewers, then its little problematic, because people already payed money for those houses. Someone must take responsibility. And also must stop this marketing.

I already did. I get far too tempted to respond to stupidity.
Hey, do you still code in Basic? Also, when you code in Basic, then all seems stupidity and porno. So, give up and then you can see all is possible in coding. Even to rezz objects into other SIM-s and using global coordinates. Because only that limits using global coordinates, is your brain, not coordinates itself or system or coding or Linden etc.

If you are selling the script mod (with source), that is good! Others will benefit from your magic technology and C++ in-line assembly.
Otherwise, not interested.
Im sorry, the script is "no mod" and no souces. But the technology itself is not secret. It uses global coordinates inside whole grid.

If you read the Marketplace ad, it also will Rez for other sims within a certain distance of the border.
My Universal-Rezzer dont need any limited distance. It (box) can locate anywhere in SL and can rezz to anywhere in SL.

I'd love to live on 6.5 hectares (16 acres) in real life. It would be palatial!
But with my Universal-Rezzer you can now live and rezz more than 5 hectares.

Why limit yourself to just some lousy sims?
Aim for the whole grid!
Exactly! Why only one region or SIM? Region is 256x256 m... meters? really? no kilometers.......it far not enough. Do you want to live in 256x256m in real life?

Casper's rezzer is free. Just sayin'

* Supports builds of any size on the same sim,
But my Universal-Rezzer is not limited by SIM. It can also rezz into other SIM too.

Considering that it can't even generate 64 bit code, nah.
I'd also posit that your 20 year old compiler has no knowledge of modern CPU instruction sets. And that fact makes it only suitable for potato-computers. Ancient piles of obsolete junk that should have been retired last century.
Yeah, but all this 64bit and new CPU instructions dont help you if you are crappy coder. And crappy coder because those new high level languages and scripts maks you crappy coder. You just loose any creativity and vision, your brains just shrivel. Dont you feel it? Dont you see how slow is software today regardless on cpu power?

VB has allowed it too since the early 90s. I don't know how C does it but with VB you can load smallish machine code routines into one or more arrays, and call the array element.
You use VB with inline assembly.....please, stop this pornography. .....And stop this whole Basic once......together with quitting smoking.

Because c# is just crap compared with C++. And also Windows Visual Studio is not as good as was Borland.
And you see the result in everyday software that is just piece of.....
Example all NET software and web related software is slow as ooze

Borland has not been the top for 20+ years. Any C++ compiler will allow inline assembly. Did you just awaken from a 25-year coma?
This dont make it worse. Its still the best compiler.

Now it makes sense!
Basic is sh..t. The best compiler is Borland, C++, where you can make class templates (I love them) and write inline assembly.

Yes, but I have lots of furniture already purchased about 10y ago. And half of them are no-mod. I dont have any wish to buy more furniture or designing furnituse myself (not my interest in SL). But I wasted long hours and days once in marketplace. I searched best furniture not only hours, but days. And I can tell you - good design retro furnituse is not cheap and mostly its no-mod. Free and modify furniture is crap.
