This has happened to me too, with just one friend on one account. Her name showed on my dashboard at a time when I knew she was at work in RL, I logged in and same as you, not on my friends list, I checked a shared group because it seemed odd that she would uncheck me, or anyone, and nope, she hadn't been on for two days. I contacted her and told her about it. She was obviously concerned! When she got home and logged in nothing had changed on her account, no money missing or inventory so we put it down to an SL glitch. It hasn't happened again. So, no explanation other than SL weird stuff!

Are you using the Replace Outfit function? If you are, everything you were wearing will detach and be replaced with the new outfit. If there is no hair in the new outfit you will be bald, no AO, make up etc.

Hi There. This problem only started tonight but has happened 5 times now in the space of 2 hours. I am levelling some land using a land leveller, camming from fairly high and all of a sudden my pc is rebooting. The only message I am getting once its restarted is "Windows has unexpectedly restarted. Windows will inform you if a solution is available". The cleaning will take place after work today but I do try and keep on top of the cleaning. Anti-virus and malware were the first things I ran, nothing picked up but who knows. I am what I would call and intermidiate beginner where computers are concerned...so I will get someone else to take a look if the two easiest suggestions have no results. It is only happening when logged into SL, so I guess something could be failing but before I panic Cleaning will be done! Its an odd thing to happen. I have a friend on my friends list whom this happens to very occasionally. I see her name pop up and when I IM "Hey" it then shows her off line. After a few times I even called her at work to rib her about using company time and she was all "but but. I'm not there.." We did some of our own investigating and came up blank. What we did learn though was that she isn't officially showing as in world. When we looked under groups at her last log in, it always showed the last time she actually logged herself in. The only thing we came up with was what Sea suggested, that maybe when she logged off the last time, for some reason a glitch didn't log her out properly. I would change your password to be on the safe side and maybe create a ticket if your worried.

Hey. I had a similar problem to you a while back and it was actually my internet connection. I tried everything on your list plus a whole heap more. The problem was noise on my line. Several calls to my ISP and an engineer visit sorted the problem instantly. Faulty and old equipement was causing noise on my line that wasn't actually showing up when the tech support at my ISP ran checks from their end, it took an engineer to come to my property and check the lines manually. If nothing else, its only a phone call. Good Luck and I am sure someone else will be a long with some far more technical stuff

I can see you are really fed up but it most likely IS your internet connection. I had the exact same problem myself. It started just after I moved home last year. The disconnection seemed to ONLY happen when I was logged into SL. I could play any number of other games, browse as many web pages as I liked, but the only time I lost my connection was when I logged into SL, it almost drove me and my friends nuts! Over the last 9 months I had tried every viewer I could lay my hands on, spoke to every helper/dev/tech geek I could find. I changed ALL my cables connected to my PC, cleaned the inside of my PC tower, had my internet card/video card all checked. Unstalled and reinstalled drivers. Checked for virus's, spyware etc. Called up my ISP and moaned, cried, whined and even shouted once. Eventually my ISP sent out an engineer to check my line and it WAS faulty. Showing noise on the line that wasn't picked up when the ISP checked from their end. They changed some equipment and in 20 minutes I was able to connect to SL with no problems at all. I don't have a particularly fast speed on my line but since that day I haven't crashed or lost connection one single time. I know its not the answer you want, but its mostly likely IS your internet connection.....

On Firestorm 4.0.1 you can upload images to your profile from the snapshot preview but sadly no longer to Flickr, which is the option I miss most.

I had that exact same problem just last week. After calling both LL and Paypal, it turned out I had to up my credit limit on PayPal. Its set at $200 or $250 ...can't remember which, but upping that sorted the problem and I could buy Lindens again. Click on a recent Linden Research, Inc transaction *Details*, Then View Billing Agreement Details, scroll down and you will see what your limit is set at, up that limit and away you go! Glad I am not the only one over spending )
