Thank you so much Rolig! I'll look at the scripts when I get inworld again. They should be full perm. Also, The double doors work fine as long as the single doors aren't linked to the house. Hi Everyone, I'm have a issue with doors in a recent home build I'm doing. I have 2 single doors in this house and a double front door. I have linked the doors to the house via the floor or wall and they open fine. But, when I open a single door the double front door opens too :/ and when I want to open the slave side of the double front door the door rotates 270 degrees. It's getting frustrating. I wrote the creator. And they said to link it to a different channel in the link set. What does that mean? Channel? I never heard of this. The only solution I can come up with is to split the house in half and link each side. One side with the single doors and the other side with the double doors. I'm trying not to have to do this. I remodeled the plane to match the wall with the opening for the door as you suggested. I extruded the palne for thickness. I also made sure all the Normals were fecing out. I made it a separate dae file. Then uploaded everybody into SL. when I the plane to the physics tab I slected solid in the #2 step. It didn't work. I still can't walk through the damn doorway LOL. Getting frustrated but understanding more about how this is done. I just can't get it to work Oh wait! I did it again, leaving the #2 step Surface and not solid. Uploaded it and set the wall to Prim and I walked through it!! Does the happy dance!! I hope I have done it right Thanks and hugs!!

I tried that and set it to lowest and I'm able to walk through half of the door opening. And yes the option for prim was in the edit this time. But that's still not good enough. I need to be able to walk through the whole doorway. Thank you I'm learning more and more. ETA Unfortunately changing the feature to Prim doesn't do anything.

If I make a plane the same size as the wall corner to corner will that work? Also is the physics object say "embedded in the wall? Or is it a separate file? that I upload with the wall?

Hi Rolig, I tried that you suggested but there are only 2 options in the edit tool features tab, "none and Convex Hull". I got a error message on the "none" and like you said the default is convex hull. So needless to say it didn't work Any other ideas? Thanks for you help though

Hi all, I made a mesh wall with a opening for a door, but I can't walk through it. I was told it needs physics. Can anyone point me in a direction to find out what it is and how to make the wall physics? I just don't understand :( Thanks.

Is it just to give an object individual faces to texture? Does it matter which way the faces are facing on the UV map, like say your trying texture a woodgrain. Do you have to have the faces facing the way you want the woodgrain to go? Or can you turn the texture once inworld? What is the hot keys for hiding/unhiding a part of an object? I can hide it but don't know how to make it reappear. :( I have a million dumb questions.... Jacki
