In the previous betas and dev releases, it was very easy to get realistic movement; a slight sway based on a lean, etc, without things flying all over the place. As of last night, right before 'final release', they changed everything. Now, it's pretty much all or nothing. "Max effect" doesn't really seem to limit motion, even with 'max effect' really low, stuff can still fly over the screen. In the previous iterations I was able to get realistic and subtle movement. Now it's pretty much DOA2 or nothing, no matter what you do. But if anyone does find something that isn't "comical or zero", please do post the settings here.

Wow... I don't know how many times I've said to myself, "Well, at least Jack is still around." No more. So many changes as time goes on, I barely recognize the place. I do hope you're still on occasionally as your resident account, Jack. There's just so much history and so much knowledge in your experience that's gonna be lost when you walk out that door one last time. I suppose that's how it goes - things change, especially in a dynamic situation like SL. Saying you'll be "missed" is an understatement, you're one of the old guard, one of the originals - and you leaving will be just a little bit of momentum more towards the paradigm shift and redefinition (good and bad) of what SL is that we've been seeing occur over the last year or so. Yes, you've had to deliver unpopular messages. Some of which I'm still up in arms about. But I think some of us who have a bit more context know when you've just been the messenger, though. ( Hopefully there are still Lindens who will remember that there's still stuff going on, on the mainland; and some out there who will still listen to resident feedback... The Lindens who do this nowadays seem to be in short supply... Agree or disagree -- Jack would take input. Try to find a new Linden who will do that nowadays. ) The place just won't feel the same with you gone.
