Derek, that's not helpful. at all....
and to answer the question.
I think how they were able to do it was get the asset uuid of the notecard and use the link to load inventory outfit, changing the asset to the notecards asset. but I'll research it abit and see what I can come up, will post back.

islands only come in 256x256. they have pricing anywhere from 100 usd to 300 usd. the price you gave is
US$ 24.50, they would not even cover basic tier, you would need to find a place to rent from, also there is not real buying in SL. all you do is rent, either from LL directly or from an estate.figured best to give you a bit of heads up on things.

people I have known for years and have formed real friendships/bonds with know exactly who I am. I've got nothing to hide from my friends. so do I break the forthwall yep, do I even do it in open chat yep, why? because SL is an extention of my real life.

people have been asking for years, but SL is limited with how it renders. the new SL2 might, but they have not given any real specifics yet on how or what it is. but we can wish no?

LL uses an actual person to process the transactions, it helps prevent fraud, this was a real issue when the bitcoiners started to come here and exchange HEAVY amounts on the exchange. IRS got involved, some rules and things changed. now LL has to follow a certain set of prodcedures, they will not go around them because you want to yell at them. this protects them and you and then paypal offers LL a flat fee for us and our transactions.

Fearmongering, some have totally mistaken what the lab is doing as "OMFG THE SKY IS FALLING" they wont take time to read the articles. if they would get on places ebbe has been, here and slu, they would see SL is not failing, it's stable, they have a small team still working on it. but nobody wants to hear that, they just want to believe some random obsecure article that says "OMFG SL IS DYING, ABANDON ALL HOPE"
I really wish this would quit and people would find correct information.

oh wow, no, those are not good, not even recommended and will give so bad of performance -.-
heck even my 550ti nvidia card is not keeping up to well.
sl is that demanding that those low end cards will suffer and bottleneck more then they will give any benefits. they might do ok on some games, but SL is no for them.

There is not point in attempting to sell something most people will never use or have any use for. a vpn is really only useful to get around a goverment block or torrenting. really not other reason to use it or have it. in this day and age, "hiding" is not really hiding. this is not the 90's.

hardware=money, employes=money= bandwidth=money, making a little bit of a profit, keeps them in business. right now they are trying to make another world FOR US. yeah let's slash the tier, sure, this world vanishes in about a month as the lab bleeds to death trying to maintain everything we currently have. the new one never goes live.
Those just the side effects. sure sounds good people going DROP THE TIER. but in the end, they forget it's a company, they have to pay for these things and then make a bit of a profit and then pay people. buy new things, make sure SL stays running.
but I'm biased, I work in the IT field and see what happens to businesses that do what I mention. it's to big of a gamble.

All I'm going to commend on is the banning.
I'm all for zero tolerance banning. as most of how people handle it now are very well within their rights to ban for any reason, I run several sims as an estate manager, a few that are in a genre of avatar that get's quite a bit of flack, if the banning was taken away from us, their would be no point in keeping our presense in SL. as it stands we are over 7,000 USD monthly paying for things. LL is not going to be stupid and take away our ability to handle our sims and keep the undesirables (trolls) out.
SO how it works now, it's fine, it should move to SL2. LL's side they handle SL bans, those can stay and need improved upon. resident level banning of private sims. nope sorry. we got that under control.

There are scripts that will make them driveable. it makes things so script heavy, expect for were ever you place it to get returned to inventory if you do this.
So some wise words. find small things to play iwth and remember Answers and the wiki and google will get you most answers, so the forums are not polluted.

google SLU. should take you to the universe. basically quite a few of us are their. more some then others.

google second life wiki. then goto the lsl section and then examples. all you could possibly need is there and if not. check the script library here on the forum. look instead of asking a zillion questions...

LL made the mistake of using queue's once. that was with logins and premium members. They said they will never use another form of queuing again, so this little idea. while neato, would never be implemented, maybe you could get another person to script something that could do this, but that would be the only way.

my advice, never buy anything no mod, it comes no mod, contact the creator, if they refuse to help, leave a review on such items.
as I tell most no mod creators, I am not a noob, I can make backup's and wont come crying to you if I break it. I can tend to fix it myself.
Plus we still have the paranoid that think "no mod" means it can not be stolen. boy do they need to watch some youtube videos.

there is nothing in place to transfer anything to LL properties. the other grids are not connected to SL in any fashion. sorry.

only time having an ip address becomes a concern is when it's a static ip address. those tend to have the name of the perosn and address and other important details on them. otherwise. it only lists who owns the ip block. the other thing, geolocation is so horrible. most times which ever node or cross box you connect out of is were it lists. mine is currently 19 miles away, that is the closest node/cross box.
I would ar because he's making the threats and saying he has information and such. but otherwise, not seeing any violation of privacy.

"accepetable" to whom? I'm not bitching or trying to start a fight here phil, I really am at a loss. I've been in SL since 07. I know how to make backup copies and how to undo a mess if I do make one (delete it, rez another lol) so I've based my decision on the fact that if you make it no mod, I'm not buying it. some mesh creators I WISH for loving god that they would allow people to change the textures on things, provide the psd files. LET us make the modifcation you refuse to make (this is common).

what are you complaining about now? ALSO this forum and the WEBPAGE login are openID, they use a hand off. the forum it's self the lab does not host, it's hosted at lithium, they have no control over there. the openid is what lets you login to SL's site and this at once
Sometimes the cookies get corrupted or do not complete, so then you have to relogin in. stop blaming everything on the lab. sometimes it's a derp with a web browser or a connection or something along those lines.

The 1L for a demo is so people can still have the "send as gift" option lit up. creators are smart in that respect.
Only thing that gets me, if I'm going to pay out the ass for a product. I want copy and mod. if you do not have those on the product or I can not buy them like that. you just lost my business.
