I was reading a very touching post today that for some reason the moderators locked to comments so I am starting this to post my feelings on the subject. As a reference before I begin here is a link to the orginal post ... http://community.secondlife.com/t5/General-Discussion-Forum/Might-be-proper-but-not-very-caring-support/td-p/885803 First off I want to say for the record: 1) I a so sorry for the loss of this person in the manor it happened and my heart goes out to all those effected by this 2) That the support responce was 99% correct. What the support person should have said after saying sorry about this persons friend is that: "For us to close the account of a deceased resident, that persons legal representive will need to contact us direct and provide the following legal documents. Please consult such and such knowlegebase page for the proper way to have this persons account closed. Again I am sorry for your loss and I hope this helps with your enquirie." I think the OP of the original post was just trying to help the family with something they may not have know was out there and maybe avoid issues with such things as credit if this person had a CC attached to the account or any one of a thousand reasons why they may have kept thier secondlife secret from thier family. A little tact and a point in the right direction I think was all the OP was looking for and again cost cutting at LL provided nothing but a unfeeling scripted responce. Also based on the screen shots provided (if they were unaltered which I am assuming there were not altered) it actually could have been a script pulling canned responsed base on keywords, I did not see anything that indicated a live person even typed the response at the time the OP asked. AI scripts are getting pretty darn good
