  1. It's a tough one to debate for sure, because what throws it out the window, is the idea that one database per experience having a pay wall limit is in complete discrepancy with the idea that one single avatar can store potentially thousands of times more data in inventory for one avatar, then then a single experience with storage for many avatars. I'd say the numerical values for the database won't scratch the surface of say 40k objects each possibly with their own child objects with their own parametric data each, inventories with scripts that are essentially mini apps. Not saying you or anyone's wrong, just creatively bumping something that should still be on the table for discussion. Bear in mind that if you think the infinite space to non-paying random alts with copies of copies of objects (essentially extra data stored in alarming redundancy) was a foot-shooting mistake you can't walk away from, a pay wall on experiences' database should be carefully thought out, as it won't rectify the problem that is the bloat of an asset server owned by imAP1mpBot11211's inventory and his default-avatar Agent Smith copy cousins by the hundred-thousands... I say you should probably consider a way to fairly throttle the inventories through perhaps a type time gating over time to newer avatars, so they won't store the world, then log out for good, if you plan on charging for extra space for experiences. Which I'm not against mind you, if the system is also fair.
  2. Outside of our working tech demo 3-4 days into it the beta's start, I don't think our experience will ever be 'done'. per-se. Our HUD is 7 years old, but will finally be able to make a public release soon hopefully. However, I do hope you kids don't roll this system out to the entire grid until some things are fixed, like the teleport message/sound spam, or the tiny little time window where your avatar isn't in the experience on log in, or what seems to be legacy perms crashing the ecperience in the script (I guess that's a story for another thread though). Though we're not 'done', you're still however welcome to explore the rest of the sim you missed the times you've been there though, Troy. The little VR pod that looks like a hybrid of TARDIS and a trash-can (I dunno. It just... turned out that way) on the ElectroBit City rooftop. When our HUD and spell powerups are in though, I'll let you know. Despite being in a new location, our 'sim' is 7 years old, but we haven't had the chance to even start until now. So thanks again, you guys.
