  1. In your Inventory is a Library folder. There are several outfits in there. You can pick and choose to Wear items or click and hold on a folder and drag it from your inventory onto your avatar.

The white is a Skin like Irene said, just adding clothes you'll still be white.

There are skins in your Library folder to.

Ok, Shape is your body shape, skin is the covering, so to say. 2 parts Clothing is the third part, for most.

  2. You should receive an email at the email address you used when you first signed up. The email tells you the location of the house.

Inwold, under the Tools or World tab is a selection called My Land. Your Linden Home Location should be shown there.

  3. If anything you should be given additional Rank.  It takes courage to seperate yourself from the herd and speak out about what is right or wrong.

Isn't it funny how that works?

From your words, you sound like a good person. Maybe your role is to keep the ranks in line.

  4. Spent some time at the area called Linden Memorial Park, it's a collection of regions dedicated to the Residents of Second Life.

Developing a working Covenant for Linden owned lands could insure and increase the value of adjacent properties. If this will always be a lake, stream, river, ocean, field, road, Put it in writing. Stop playing this sim shuffle game, it's killing consumer confidence.

Is it fair to the four adjacent sim's and the many owner's for LL to add a group of island's in the center of what used to be a lake? I have doubts that the residents who've been supporting the area would have stayed if the Covenant of the Lake said it would change.

SL is reaching a point where we are running out of new people to buy. Land sellers have it the worst, it takes a ton of camera work to hide all the problems with the land. Many sellers just use their business logo for a image and I can't say I blame them.

A positive step forward can be to identify sims that qualify to be made permanent and for the Covenant to clearly state it.

    What do you think?

  5. Not sure if it was just me but SL froze up and crashed. My event viewer said that my monitor was stuck in a loop and to check the drivers. I found driver updates that had just been released. Maybe this can help you.

after updating the drivers, the appearance of the water Inworld changed. Now even on the lowest graphics setting I see the shiny water. It's nice at surface level but from the air it's a little to sparkly for me.

  6. I agree, and as gesture of good faith I offer up all the structures built over the water to be deleted as an exchange of resources for the addition of better ban options. Call it eminent domain.

Let's draft a letter to SL.

    Dear Philip, We ... wait

    Dear M, damn it

Dear Mr. Humble, We humbly beseech you oh high sir. Please throw us some crumbs from your mighty mountian of resources. P.S. use the internet, we have email, just not from you, yet.

  7. The Mainland is a great place to buy land. There are plots that fit almost every budget. At the top of this page is a link to the World Map, it's very helpful to get an overview of the entire SL world before trying to tackle the Inworld map.

When viewing the World map, the majority of the largest Continents are classified as Mainland. There are several Continents and maybe someday the singular mainland will be presented as plural and that would clear up a lot of confusion created by calling several land masses one.

How you want to use the land and for how long is a big factor in finding Mainland that will work for you. Land with access to roads, waterways, customers or a professional business presence adjacent to existing places of commerce are priced accordingly.

Use a Public Sandbox to place (Rez) the items you intend to use Inworld to determine how much space you need and the total number of objects you have. When you purchase land, you get exclusive use of space (land) and objects (number of prims the parcel supports).

Visit a region more than once before you purchase a selected plot or property. If the regions performs good during the hours you will be online, then it's a good region.

For first time land Buyer's who want some land to create objects, learn, and do it today. Use the Inworld Search / Land sales, then choose features you want from the selection boxes provided, Mainland - price range - size in meters- maturity rating.

  8. I agree, it would be fun. Each person doing what they do best. I've met some great builders and have a few people in mind who've expressed interest in a group build.

    We need

    1. Plan

    2. Land

    3. Builder's Group

    4. Terrian editor

    5. Roads / support structures

    6. Construction builders

    7. Texturer / designers

    8. Scripters

    9. Landscapers

    10. Decorators

    11. Lighting

    12. Detail builders

    13. Furniture makers

    14. Group managers

    15. Time

feel free to add to the list.

  9. Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I had some problems with a virtual pet and it did take some time to get the problem resolved but the creator did provide a solution. SL is a great place to hurry up and wait.

You can file a ticket using the Help tab at the top of the screen. I do suspect that the Linden's will not have a solution for your exact situation but if filing an additional report will give you peace of mind, then that's what you should do.

I would continue to work with the creator until a satisfactory solution can be found.

  10. You could try to review your transaction history to see if you can match items with customers.

Not sure what the rules are for offering a point program or incentives to join a store's group. That way you could communicate and interact with your customers.

The Market Place doesn't seem to initiate an (or the) reminder to rate previously purchased products.

I don't shop a lot but very few of the creators I have purchased from, sent a follow up IM to see if I was happy.

Items not delivered is a serious problem. My transaction history looks just like your's. I purchased objects with names, not numbers and letters. I have no idea what is what and what was not delivered. A market place tip is to buy one item, wait for it to be delivered, rez proof of the item, repeat.

  11. The group tier contribution will remain the same from month to month.

Yes, I believe that you do have to manually adjust the amount of teir you wish to donate.

This question is tricky because if you're just a member of a group or if you own the group may produce an different results when adjusting allowed land holdings.

I don't think that reducing tier at a residents account page will remove tier donations to or for group land owned by that resident.

    The Fog is rolling in.

    Time for coffee
