    #4 trust me nobody wants to see me in the nude. and doxing yourself is just dumb. 

    #5 on the upside you get to eat pizza on the down side its gross pizza but it lacks any of the dangers of any of the other options

    for some of us older players in SL the whole mesh body / head thing was a odd learning curve i did not rilly latch onto it until BoM became a thing and we has a semblance of "old SL" back. and some people might simply not be able to afford the latest in Bento Box Bake on animesh wind in your hair avatar. the bodies and heads can be rather pricey in SL terms and with people loosing there jobs due to COVID all these fancy avatars are expensive and many of new and old folks are coming to and back to secondlife for an escape. 

     I don't care what you look like as long as your staying a good person in these hard times we are cool.

    i went and checked out the store and they had a gift version of the "strong" head it's nice but i will have to hunt for a nice shape for it  but i did notice if your avatar is darker complected do not use the makeup option in the hud you wind up looking like a clown

    Future of the metaverse, and all that

    I am going out on a limb and say fortnight is not a metaverse or even a good candidate it misses a key feature.

    A true metaverse  has diversity of reasons why people log in people in fortnight log in pretty much just to fight. second life people log in for many reasons and as a result we get to meet the many wonderful and sometimes not so wonderful people, also a true metaverse needs to have user created content it is not rilly a world you live in without persistent content we made or decorated ourselves.  And don't get me started on the ability we as users of a true metaverse platform have to enjoy this place on may different computer platforms Windows, Linux, Mac its even possible to get a limited experience on IOS or android. this only adds further to the diversity we enjoy in SL. 

     

    Take away any of these factors and you don't have a metaverse the lindens did second life right and i don't think it is replaceable.

    I spend most of of my  time in SL in vehicles and i have a couple recommendations

    for ground / Roadtrip  you cant go wrong with manji his cars look great cross from one sim to another like butter and best of all handle properly 

    nothing in SL comes close for the reliability of his cars

    Aircraft

    SL has alot of aircraft builders some of them are great and some not so much But if you just want to hop in a plane and explore and actually be able to land it without looking like a fool. Java Designs his planes are delightfully easy to fly and also cross from one sim to another smoothly  the best part is the creator  of these planes is a fantastic human being who genuinely cares about his customers. I highly recommend his plane called the "Katana"

    Boats

    I am not rilly a boat gal but three brands stick out  Mesh Shop, Bandit both of these are very spendy  but worth the price  and not any less in quality is "CyberSculpts" some good  boats at a fantastic price and they have a few fantastic free boats as well

     

    Just two cents from a friendly demon gal who is a aircraft nerd hope it helps but whatever you pick have fun exploring the grid!

    i am totally aware of this and happily change if asked but in the case i mentioned was at a store no request or anything just gone. and i 100% approve their choice to do so after all it is their land. but i also took it as a signal they did not want to make a sale and made note if it for when i shop on marketplace.

    I have been pixel snobed a few times and not because of the quality of my avi i have plenty of good mesh stuff but i have been banned on sight at a few places because people see someone in a avatar with hooves, horns and a pointy tail and assume troublemaker, and its that locations owner / manager's prerogative to do so.   Does it suck? yes but, I would never compare it to a RL bone disease.
