  1. hi folk sory to waste ur time but i was wondering  so if u set secondlife to ultra it will distroy the graphics card no matter how powerful an expensive it is ?

how come when u leave shadowsn on in ultra it kills the graphics card ?

also even if u are using a geforce card if set to ultra the fps is only 10 at best ?

ok so if u set it to ultra what can u disable that aint nessesary to make the avatars and sex  look good n high quality ?

  5. ya the drivers all use that open gl crap that's all new but sl is using the realy old stuff an that's what doesn't work nvidia knows about it n forces some kinda compatibility mode ?? ya so sign my petition to make an all directX 12 secondlife that's so advanced n better that u wont need that old outdated open gl stuff its outdated anyways directX 12 is so brand new its not here until windows 10

  6. I been all over the forums here waiting n watchin for ppl that have problems with graphics drivers and the sl viewer and some guy here was sayin that sl uses old open gl stuff n that's why the new drivers don't work with it and is that true is that's whats wrong ? maybe not a driver problem but old stuff in sl I found this so I say the lindens should make a sl that runs on directX 12 and it will be better n greater since come on no 1 n the world uses open gl I seriously mean no 1 Is a problem of Second Life: "The viewer uses a compatibility profile OpenGL context to use parts of the OpenGL 1.x/2.x core that were deprecated in 3.0. These sections of the API don't always interact well with post 3.0 API calls, which is what a lot of these issues are boiling down to. So yes, NVIDIA did not deprecate any extensions, but large parts of the OpenGL core API have been deprecated since GL 3.0, and the viewer mixes and matches the pre 2.0 and post 3.0 API calls via the extensions API. While this is "supported," it's difficult for any driver implementer to effectively test against, and some drivers have just started outright breaking compatibility. For example, glAlphaFunc is not in the GL 3.0 spec but is in the GL 2.0 spec, but when using shaders on ATI, the behavior of glAlphaFunc is erratic. I'm not aware of any smoking gun like that on NVIDIA, but it's safe to say that operating under a pure 3.0 context where possible is a good thing to do, not only for stability and compatibility, but for performance as well (the GL 3.0 API is much leaner)."
