Very much this. Some people suggest that it's in large part due to the social media algorithms that does its damnedest to show us what we want to see; if you follow politicians, celebrities or political commentators who all lean to one end, the algorithm is going to keep suggesting such content for you.

Also with certain platforms banning certain schools of ideology, people who are politically active appear to be divided not only by ideals, but platforms, where they seldom have to actually face any opposition, and there's no room for rational, restrained reasoning where both sides of any given subject can be explored.

I'm genuinely curious. Did you expect that to impress me in any capacity, or are you aware how utterly pathetic your rhetoric is?

I prefer to be pathetic in the defense of the values i do believe, the Portuguese constitution then to be a enlightened defense of any Autocratic regime!

2/3rd of republican voters still believe that the elections were rigged. So please tell me: Do you really want to be united with stupidity? Or, in worst case,  united with a fascist mob? Appeasement never was a good idea while facing extremism.

Cure stupidity, before you start to "unite".

Sadly i fear that next weeks will prove your words to be so true.

And they can not even argument they where not warned in advance!

How is your juvenile delinquency record in any way, shape, or form a relevant argument in an online environment with international participants, though? Not that a whole lot of anything around here is relevant by any means, but that one stood out as particularly peculiar.

My juvenile delinquency record was to defend My Country in 1977 to  1981 from a communist coup that almost succeeded.

For that i had to do several things i`m not proud about but that opened my mind to the reality that a dictatorship shall never be allowed to exist; no matter how democracy seems to fail in our exceptions.

Ps. Did you ever shook hands with fraga irribarne?

You know for someone that claimed they were going to ignore all my posts 2 pages back you certainly seem intent to reply to all of them now.

You try to defend the unthinkable. that needs to be denounced with arguments but sometimes not even those are enough.

I can not let anyone that defends regimes that lead to the deaths of millions in the past to try to rise again without an answer!

And i lack the skills to argument by words you can bet will defend them in person as i did already in my youth, to stop the seed of evil to spread again.

Would that be like all the anti-white people tweets floating around?

    You know, "just their opinions".

You deny the oppressed to express their feelings.

They are not just their opinions.

They felt and still feel on the flesh all the hate from white people.

Cause your skin color makes you feel protected and indifferent to their suffering does not mean you can deny the right to their indignation.

I'd be grateful if you would reply to a post directed at you (in this instance the one before the one to which my comment above was made).  As for a dictatorship, well, it could be argued that we had the equivalent experience under absolute monarchies, and there are those of us who recognise the continued existence of the Norman yoke.  But I digress.

I already posted what i consider the definition of true democracy.

When a Country has on its constitution this:

Armed associations, military, militarised or paramilitary-type associations and organisations that are racist or display a fascist ideology shall not be permitted.

  7.  Article 46 (Freedom of association) 1. Citizens shall possess the right to freely associate with one another without requiring any authorisation, on condition that such associations are not intended to promote violence and their purposes are not contrary to the criminal law. 2. Associations shall pursue their purposes freely and without interference from the public authorities and shall not be dissolved by the state or have their activities suspended, except in suchcases as the law may provide for and then only by judicial order. 3. No one shall be obliged to belong to an association, or be coerced to remain therein by any means. 4. Armed associations, military, militarised or paramilitary-type associations and organisations that are racist or display a fascist ideology shall not be permitted.

So, your definition of a 'true' democracy is one wherein everyone thinks the same way you do, and the moment people don't, you want to revoke their right to voice their opinions. Sounds pretty fascist, actually.

No my concept of Democracy is the one that exists just next to your Country.

Portuguese constitution does not allow any movements that profess the goal to end Democracy if they have the power. Period.

I want to search and buy more mainland but the lack of being able to see the map in full and to figure where the spots are located is really disturbing and damaging.

I got 2 bellisseria homes that i still can not figure where they are located on the map regarding to the rest.

Map tiles issue should be the 1st priority right now and looks like they are not.
