  6. Dilbert Dilweg wrote: Yea Online would be the way to go. Then you can just put the magazines online website on a prim, using media on a prim and distribute it in world. Wont have to make a book. Just a prim hud that attaches to the screen and they interact with the site on a prim. Easy as pie. Do you have any examples or know of where I can look at some?
  7. Amethyst Jetaime wrote: Definitely the web! I stopped reading magazines in world anymore because the textures take so long to rez. I MUCH prefer them on the web. It's easy enough to distribute URL's for them and with inworld browsers and shared media, people can still read it in world if they want to. Awesome! I'm so glad to be hearing all this b/c I was leaning towards the online magazine
  8. Griffin Ceawlin wrote: I used to kinda like reading books, magazines, etc., inworld once in a while, and still do occasionally, but the textures in those things take forever to load for me. Put it up on the web and save yourself some L$s, and everybody else some time. Yes! I was thinking the same thing about it loading! Thanks for the input.
  9. I'm currently working on a magazine and I'm debating whether to put it out in-world or online (ie. issuu).I have done a few catalogs in-world and have had good responses but with the cost it is to upload and publish it I'm having to second guess if that's the route to go anymore. It seems blogs are a huge part of SL these days and that's where I would host the magazine on our group blog. I would still do a magazine like kiosk to help advertise the site but want feedback before the major investing starts. So, what would you prefer?
