I have been having an issue where I am trying to rez the Halloween String lights. But they don't Snap to the house and I get an Error message when I click on them:

String Lights  v1.0~LH - Traditional - Winchester: Unable to find LH - Traditional - Winchester in range.

I have tried multiple times to re-rez them, I've re-rezzed the house. Checked to make sure it will allow scripts.

I don't mind moving them into place, but I would like to get them working...

i am having the same issue with the lights. these lights come in the decorating pack that was provided by the moles in our mailboxes. when i lived in verdant falls, i had no trouble with the lights. i am in possum place now and the lights dont want to snap into place. its kind of disappointing. i wanted to use them for christmas. oh well.

This one really is a challenge! So I'll give this hint for others, in Patch's own words - I will emphasize the parts you need to focus on:

So, a big thing, a little thing, and a "hard-effort" (related to that thing)

Hopefully this doesn't get me a Patch-Plonk on the top of my head. :D

    thanks

I took this from the deck of my houseboat the day I moved in.  I was just camming around, but when the sailboat wandered into frame and moored .... well....the place just said HOME in a big voice and I took the pic.  You can see Boaty McBoatface on the far right, a black dot above your boat.

Quartz Lake is the best launching point you could imagine for exploring Belli by boat. The Panamole canal,  the river down to the lodge at Campwich Forest, open sea beyond that to the Pickle, the northern twisty canal winding through regions until you emerge in Belli's mouth, the straight river going south to where (currently) the long run down to Jeogeot starts.

It's boating central.  The lake there is big enough to practice jibing to your heart's content.

I don't know that I could ever give up our Fourze boat, because there's this too... you don't have to have your draw distance set to 350 to see the lighthouse where we are.  It's fairly rare in Belli to have one just beyond your parcel.

Think carefully.  Maybe do get that person who really really wants a boat to keep it warm for you.

  4. i am not totally thrilled with my location either. ive been undecided about releasing it and trying for a new location.  yesterday, i made up my mind and released the house.  for about 30 minutes, i tried to get another one, and guess what? when i did get another house, it was the same damn house i released. exact same location. i know this because of my neighbors. lol. so, i took it as a sign that this is where i am supposed to stay, for now anyway. now i am decorating again.

  5. i would really love to be on a hill or mountainside. with either a lake or river view. with some neighbors but not right across the street. id like to see a bit of wildlife about. like deer or moose or something. i like my house but the location, imo, isnt ideal. its ok for now. once the hype of the new homes dies down and i can get a new location without the worry of losing out completely, im staying put. even if i have to wait a long time.

  6. in Bellisseria, you get to choose from different home designs.  the lots are landscaped.  there are walkways and streets that you can drive, bicycle, horseback ride, etc on. the homes are bigger and do not count towards your limit.  the neighborhood actually feels like a neighborhood.  in meadowbrook, the houses felt like they were just plopped there and that there was not much thought put into the area.  there are community lots in bellisseria that you can go to and hang out. there are so many reasons why the bellisseria is so much better. i have included a pic of my decorated for halloween

  7. i havent been able to find these public spots, therefore i havent been able to enjoy them. ive been busy decorating my house. when i take my horse out, i tend to get lost and go in circles. i have no sense of direction and need a gps to go everywhere. it wouldnt be any fun to go hang out if no one else is using them though.

Just moved in to Guppy...I have to say while waiting for my turn I had been decorating the (imaginary) houseboat at a sandbox to help with the excitement so when I finally got one it was super quick putting it together! Thank you you Linden powers that be...Life with Gracie is a happy camper :)

I agree.  I got my first house in the first release and it was right in the middle of Princess Caroline and I also didn't care for the yard.  I did abandon it and 2 weeks later I got a house right by the water and it wasn't any that were new, it was someone who got rid of their house because they wanted a houseboat.    The only issue I really have is that it is all sand but I have some mesh moss I can use to add some green.   Sometimes location makes a big difference as it is hard to enjoy a home you can't decorate the yard or your just not feeling it.  I just kept in mind when I got rid of my first one that I could be waiting a while to get a new one.

i am right in the middle of holton center. its ok for now. i really dont want to be homeless and since i am getting ready for a rl move, i dont have the time to stalk for a new one. i will stay where i am for now.

I actually think there is a group for Belli singles...  :)  Not a service really but hey...i have made so many friends and met so many new people just being part of the community I am sure that this group would be no different.

i will have to check the group list. thanks for the info

  11. i am seeing all the new locations for houses and i am almost, almost tempted to abandon mine to see if i can get a new one in a better location. i am like right in the middle of bellisseria and its so much prettier by the water or the river. sighs.

My avatar lounged around today for an hour or two "watching tv" with a bowl of popcorn while I was busy in real life. As for the bath, would be a shame to let it all go to waste!

I also had fun getting out to meet some neighbours today. I can't tell you how amazing it felt to just wander across the street and talk to people I'd probably never meet any other time and just say hello. It made me realise just how cloistered I felt previously living in former mainland, and in a private skybox. Since moving in to my new Linden Home I've met a handful of people now from all corners of the globe, and so far all have been lovely and friendly - even one I thought had come to troll me!

And now for some show and tell.

I still have 160 prims left but as much as I'd love to keep cluttering (and I could!) I'm holding out for the release of the Zooby animesh babies. I've purposefully left room in the bedroom for the furnishings, but for now have stand-in props that I whipped up just to fill the space. Not worth taking pics of *lol*. If I have any prims left after that (I'm cautiously optimistic), then I'll see what else I can add. But I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out so far.

One thing I want to say, and I don't exactly know where on the subforum to share it, but I am seeing some amazing pictures here. I love seeing what people do with their spaces. But at the same time I am also disheartened by the amount of empty buildings I see. For the rush to get them I'd expect people to put some effort in, I'd hope so anyway. I can only hope things improve after the Easter break. It would be a shame for all those wanting a house to not get the chance while so many sit vacant and unused.

love your rooms. this kitchen, who is the creator? how much LI?  i am trying to cut down on mine.
