Most people make their own gestures. They are not hard to make. However, do everyone a favor and don't use them. In clubs, they are annoying and, in fact, the main reason I don't go to clubs. If you MUST get them, simply use the search on the word "gestures" in SL search. You will find a place.

What everyone said is all good. However, there are a few things that I feel every avatar needs when enterin second life; a courtesy, patience and a sense of humor.

You have two choices for getting rid of land and that is to sell it or abandon it. You do both by going to the parcel and selecting the parcel details. On the "General" tab, there are a couple of options. You can click the "Abandon Land" button or the "Sell Land" button. If you select "Sell Land," you simply put the price you want for it.

I'm hoping to find one or more people who are interested in a business partnership. I'm looking for a few different types of people: 1. Merchants who do not have a place to sell their creations (lots of rules will apply as I am offering up to 500 prims for free and possibly more for the right merchant). If interested in this partnership, I will send you a list of the rules. 2. One or more people interested in running a club. Not too many rules for this. I am a DJ enjoy doing events, but have a difficult time making regular committments. This is why the club hasn't opened. It's in the style of a Vintage Jazz club, but there's no set genre and I have the best couples dances in SL already installed. I'm willing to listen to any other ideas. First of all, you do not have to buy the whole AO Hud with all the animations. There are a couple of ways to go and the one I highly suggest is to use a viewer with a built in AO (I use Firestorm). If that is not possible, then if you already have an AO or dance HUD that incorporates AO, then check out the best MOCAP animators, try the stands and buy only the ones you like the most. In my humble opinion, Vista Animations are the best. However, MyAnimations and Aekyo have some very good ones. And I'm sure there are others. One final note. If you do purchase a full AO, do not remove the animations you don't like. Just edit the note card to use only the ones you want. Removing them would probably break any existing note cards. Of course, ignore this if there is an AO that doesn't use note cards. I've switched to the built in AO, so I don't know what's out there for AO Huds right now. Questions? Feel free to IM me inworld.

I disagree. Estate rentals, I don't care if you are renting out part or all of your private region, belong in the Parcels for Rent: Estate section. Could it be that some people just cannot figure that out?

It's so important to make sure you are buying from the designer and not from a thief. The integrity of SL is a lot more important than people realize. Yes, I wish LL could do more, but it's also up to all of us to help as best we can. I suppose it was wrong to post that link, but I have to admit when I clicked on it, it reminded me that I wanted to try out some of the Hush skins because they make appliers for Slink hands and feet. And so, in support of a true SL designer, I visited the Hush store and bought a lovely skin, the hands and feet appliers and, just for kicks, some makeup. Down with copy-cats and up with all the true SL artists :matte-motes-big-grin:

I just can't help but comment on the irony of this thread (for me, anyway). Awhile back I wanted to create a fun shopping area to compliment my club and furniture store. I was offering free space with a minimum of 100 prims. I had rules (no affiliates, no full perm, no furniture and an expectation that the people getting free space would invest in bringing in traffic) I'm in a lot of hunts and traffic can be pretty good, but I've worked hard at it and wanted help. I'm not offering free space to any affiliates (I never would have). In fact, since I had such a bad time trying to give away space, I'm not offering space to anyone anymore. So if you want to just set down some affiliate vendors and disappear, you have no business asking for free space. Unless, of course, you're really just looking for available space to rent. You can easily find that.

Personally, I think it's rubbish to let anyone have an MP store who doesn't also have an in world store. That is, they must either have a payment on file or be a premium member AND have an in world store. Everyone on MP, not just the new kids on the block. That would not only get rid of a lot of MP thieves, it would help the in world economy. Boycott MP only stores!

Hello and welcome to the forum. You need more than just the rental stream. In order to play music in SL, you need special computer software. I personally use SAM Broadcaster. However, for a free alternative, you can use Winamp, plus the Shoutcast plugin. Both are required to stream music. If you have the software already and are just having trouble getting it to stream into Second Life, there could be other issues.
