Feeling snap happy? Feeling that photo finger itching? the folks at The Basilica - a new club opening in March - invites you to enter their flickr competition in which one person stands to win 10 000 lindens. A variety of smaller prizes will also be allocated to exceptional work. To win, participants need to TP to the club, take a photo in or around the building and submit it to the Basilica flickr group. The photo will be judged on the following criteria: * Aesthetic appeal - shape form, light, contrast, composition * Creativity - how is the building or its surrounds incorporated in the picture? * Emotive content - how does the pic make me feel? * Brand representation - how well the picture speaks to The Basilica brand The winning picture will be central to the club's marketing efforts over the following 3 months . You can't help but feel awe when stepping into The Basilica. is it the high, vaulted ceilings? The bright beams of neon? Or is it the unusual combination of the two? it's hard to tell. Perhaps it is the bass that vibrates through the reflective floors, or the sea of writhing bodies on the dance floor bringing homage to the deities of electronic dance music and its various demigods. But that something special is happening here is evident. After all, music in transcendent, music is universal, music is the language of the body - the eyes, the thighs, the feet. The Basilica is opening its doors on the 11th of March 2023, and is promising to be a sterling addition to SL's entertainment offerings. As a dance club and Lovense lounge, it is bound to attract both hardcore dance music lovers and lovers in general. The dance floor, ringed with Corinthian pillar is awash is strobe light and offers a clear view of the DJ booth and abstract moving images projected onto a screen. The music Here ranges from melodic mix of liquid drum and bass to the snarling sounds of synth-pop and hard style. the resident DJs, Kryx and V8por provide a steady stream of ambiance creating tunes that keep the feet moving and guest headliners light up the decks with scheduled and pop up performances. On the Lovense side, across from teh nave in teh opposing aisle, is standing and sitting room for many seeking to meet new friends, find a hookup or even find love. Situated high in the decorative apses of the lovely building, high above the pulsing crowd, are balcony boxes that are for rent for private parties. Each box seats eight people and has furniture with delightful animations. It is a different vantage point, offering a more designated space without being taken out of the sturm and drang that is the club. Leading up to the epic opening of The Basilica, the club is launching a flickr competition in which a whopping 10 000 lindens are up for grabs. Participants are invited to photograph themselves anywhere at the venue and post their picture to The Basilica’s flickr page. Only one post per person allowed.
