"When Hera contacted me to say she had decided to bring these two build back to SL, I confess I moved them to the top of my list of places to visit because, as I recently stated when writing about Shangri-La, the build she opened earlier in August 2021 (see: Losing myself in Hera’s Shangri-La in Second Life), Hera a region creator whose imagination is in many ways unparalleled in Second Life. In fact, I’ll expand on that statement here: Hera is a genuine world builder, conjuring cities, islands, kingdoms and more from the depths of her imagination and casting them into Second Life where they might be discovered and inhabited by those who find them." "I’m finally done with the week! I’ve not done such a long, fully intense week at work for a long long time. I was absolutely exhausted! When Friday finally ended it felt like I should still be doing something. It didn’t have a single bit of time to devote to anything else the entire week so I was glad I had at least set up some posts in advance. We are talking 6.30 am starts and 8 sometimes 9pm finishes. I am done. Perfectly primed now for my weekend off and what better way to celebrate than to take a picture right??! Yes! Sugar too but let’s not talk about that right now." Read more on the blog.

"Dido Haas presents Hilaire Beaumont, an artist who is once again almost unbeknownst to me. I saw one picture of Hilaire so far. it was exhibited at Valium SL – Hermosa in January 2021 (read here). And Dido wrote: “Until now only existing flickr works of Hilaire were shown at a few galleries”. At the August exhibtion new artwork from Hilaire Beaumont is shown, The title and the pictures speak for themselves – Tough Man." Read more on the blog.

"There aren’t many things that can keep one happily glued to the computer for hours on end but the Woodstock Celebration Festival on 17 Aug at Chelsea did just that. The purpose-built stage was set in a gently sloping amphitheater just a short walk from the magnificent Hotel Chelsea, with speakers set up on a metal grid emulating the real-life Woodstock stage of 50 years ago. Blankets and seats were strewn about with ample space and opportunity for festival goers to sit or dance – both options were taken up." Read more on the blog.

"Whether you're a newcomer or longtime Resident, your Second Life experience will benefit from using the maps. I always keep my mini-map open. Not only do I find it useful to navigate the mainland, I also use it to determine where avatars congregate and as a gauge to how busy a place is. It's also invaluable for finding friends when I've gone in-world shopping and we get separated in big stores." Read more on the blog.

"My friends, the last few months have been so busy for me that I only realized today that the month of August is almost done. Where did the time go? I will admit I am a bit sad that the end of summer is near and I hardly had the chance to enjoy it." Read more on the blog.

"One of my favorite aspects about mesh is the land impact that is saved. I remember years ago, feeling like such a prim whore, because I wanted those little details that really personalize a sliving space. However, back then you could use up 100 prims just decorating an end table. Now, most of the knick knacks are 1-3 li at most and I am so grateful." Read more on the blog.

    Home & Garden
"As I've recently moved, there are no real holidays for me, many things to sort out and organize, but still doing my best to enjoy the "summer feeling" and the sunshine.
Of course in SL whenever I have the opportunity I like to create my own little paradise to chill and get that holiday vibe" Decor details on the blog.

    Eupalinos Ugajin Occupation @GBTH
From April to December 2021, Eupalinos Ugajin, a prolific artist in Second Life, was invited to occupy a parcel at the GBTH project and do with it as they may. Eupalinos' knowledge, constant curiosity, experimentation, and will to have the avatar's interaction as an essential part to make the work come alive makes their occupation incredibly rich, questioning logic and limits of the grid. P.S.: Drinks at the bar and don't break the gallery. More info: thegbthproject.com/portfolio/eupalinos-ugajin-occupation

From My Bed I Dream of Life
When we lay in a sickbed our mind conjures all kinds of things, especially if we are a creator, we begin to see an ongoing unfoldment of creations, of dreams, nightmares, life. These are the visions of the artist. The visions of mortality. Explore every area for the many original gifts found tucked into corners and places you least expect! Experience 5 cloud rides going to my major dreams and a nightmare. Teleport to the cosmos via the starry cloud above your head. Dance, play, scream, cry, heal!
