Pictured: Shark Week Fest at LeLoo's World Each week, the Second Life Destination Guide editorial team reviews dozens of new locations and events worth exploring. With all those beautiful destinations to check out, we thought we’d highlight a few of the entries that stood out to the editorial team. First, we'd like to tell you about two new categories we've added to the Destination Guide: Anthro/Furry - We are highlighting destinations for our Anthro/Furry communities, one of which we featured in our Destination video this week. Come and explore the amazing world of sharks. Bring your scuba gear and underwater camera! All welcome to this PG event! Visit in Second Life Furzona Furzona is a community based, cyberpunk-themed hangout with multiple areas to explore, including a Cyberpunk themed skybox known as The Mainframe, with holo-deck like simulations available to relax in. With Live DJ's and Hosts, Furzona specializes in live video displays and laser shows, showing off the capabilities of Second Life's engine. Visit in Second Life SWALLOW by Vincent Priesley Not unlike the recalling of a dream, Priesley’s realization of “Swallow” offers an exaggerated and immersive experience of being truly devoured. A monster realized offline was meshed, textured, and assembled to the artist’s recollection, it’s materiality presenting a look into Priesley’s psyche and heart. Featured in the jaws and guts are framed reliefs and cutout figures of loved ones. Poetic words and onomatopoeia line the anatomy, inviting viewers to explore the inviting depths that beckon. Visit in Second Life Totem Beach Nestled along the Pacific North West, Totem Beach awaits those who enjoy the ocean and forests of the region. Surf the waves, dive the canyons, explore the cliffs, walk through the forest, and perhaps even discover some hidden secrets. Visit in Second Life Beach Holiday Faire This beautifully designed region-wide event combines the joy of beach activities, shopping, and treasure hunting. There are even merfolk areas and underwater stores. The event runs from August 1st to 30th. It is rated General and is family-friendly. Come, explore, and enjoy! Visit in Second Life The Grove Celebrates Ten Years! The Grove celebrates 10 years as one of Second Life’s most beautiful communities. From 2 regions to 16, there’s a lot to see and hear! The Grove is celebrating all of August with some of Second Life’s best singers, so join the fun. Find the calendar at thegroveestatessl.com/events/2020-08 to see all that’s planned. Experience the Grove for yourself - your Second Life will never be the same! Visit in Second Life Wolf Territories Wolf Territories is a 3-region area set up to role-play the 1870 Wild West. Includes trains, forests, two Indian tribes, and much more. The 3 regions have had a rebuild with some amazing environment settings. Please note this is a Wild West area so 1870's attire must be worn (animals are welcome), and it may not be safe. Visit in Second Life Devils Bend National Park Welcome to the wide-open wilderness, where you can bring your family and friends to explore the great outdoors together. Take pictures and make memories while exploring everything mother nature has to offer from historical sites, abandoned caves, and tunnels. Explore today!
