  13. "After I expanded my land and started Dutch estate in January this year, little may seem to have changed. But appearances can be deceptive. Of course, the old idea of a small-scale polder landscape remains. But every day I work on small improvements and sometimes I decide that something more substantial needs to change. For those who like it, I keep track of these changes in a journal." Read more on the blog.

In celebration of the upcoming 14th anniversary on May 15, we visit Bay City to visit public historical sites and learn something about its diverse past." Read more on the blog.

  19. May 9th is my Resident avatar's 15th rez day so I thought it would be fun to do the Then and Now Challenge. To do this challenge, pick one of the oldest images of your avatar and do a side-by-side comparison with a recent image of your avatar. Both of my images are raw shots, straight from SL, no photoshopping done on either of them, just cropping. This challenge is similar to the decade challenge I had done here back in 2020, but you can go further than a decade with this one. If you decide to post this on any social networks, don’t forget to use the hashtags #SecondLifeChallenge and #ThenAndNowChallenge. You can also add your images to the Second Life Challenge Flickr Group as well as the Official Second Life Flickr Group.
  20. "It took me thirty-seven years to meet the love of my life. Thirty-seven years that included two bad marriages, a shedload of choices that would be regrets if I kept a tally of things to regret (I used to), one child, one miscarriage (that I know of), reams of making excuses for whichever bad relationship partner I was with that often began with phrases like, ‘He’s not a bad person, really’, a sense of failure, helplessness, and worthlessness, which sadly sometimes manifested itself as ire, anger, and disrespect for people who would have loved me if I’d let them, and the fatalistic surety that my life was hollow and I was worthy of nothing better. I felt unequal to the world." Read more on the blog.
  21. "As a person in the real world I had a hard time coming to terms with my life, my looks, my thoughts and more recently my body. It was always a comparison between me, society, diet culture and whatever my family wanted of me. It took many years for me to finally settle down and accept me for me. The weird, the femme, the butch, the lazy and the creative in me." Read more on the blog.
  22. "16 years is a mighty long time to be part of something as wonderful as Second Life. I am forever grateful to be part of this platform, the friends made, the experiences had…I love and care about everyone I have ever met here, and am truly inspired daily." Read more on the blog.
