I love having solitude in SL. It's sometimes relaxing if I have to be up early or very late at the odd hours of night (considering I am in the EST). It's relaxing to go off by myself and explore at these weird hours.

If you're wanting to search up places to maybe get new items, there are lovely places that are shopping events. Two websites that are basically a library full of new shopping events that are updated regularly:

With all of this, if you are looking for a new body and head, the two stores I can recommend to start off with are:

I can also relate to @Ceka Cianci: I hate walking alone at night. Being female and being in a widely known un-safe area, it can be scary to possibly be a target of being mugged or worse; I'd rather not think about that.

[Is SL too hard for newbies?]

on my point of view: 

SL is always a struggle to figure out for some newbies and new players. i feel like there should be a better guide from SL itself that maybe? i know there are some youtube videos and sources that are out there made by the community, but i think there needs to be a long updated guide on SL!
