    But even better, even if one would be psychic, not affected by stuff like lag and such:
    Shouldn't there be just like, say, a 1 month ban to make people consider to avoid such places or to implement aggressive access regulations?
    It's not as if SL's system is always 100% smooth, or always reliable. it's easy enough to disconnect and reconnect to some location one visited 15 minutes earlier because data wasnt updated.

    Such self-inflicted idiocity is one of the best things going for IMVU I guess: They don't care, or behave a lot more sane and reasonable, and don't throw permabans and pretty low key accusations around.

    My friends were pretty angry with me that I hadn't , basically, locked out everyone else from my place. But just because I rented a flat doesn't give me access to the land tool or whatever is needed to implement access limitations based on avatar size.

    All that stress with my real life friends wouldn't have happened with IMVU. But luckily their Avatar designs are that crap that I still don't need to look there for a new place for my friends and me.

    Nope, OpenSim / OSGrid is the future.

    Until LindenLabs reconsiders their own policies I just know I'm not going to invest time or money, and also won't support any SL based charities or recommend it to others.
    Instead, for me, it's just the technologically better alternative to IMVU, but not the place to invest time or money.
    That's OpenSim from now on.

     

    eh IMVU has terrible customer service mostly bots who don't solve problems and when you try to ask in the discussions topics are closed without any answer or you get referred to customer service and then it's nothing but back and forth type thing. IMVU has a teen server but teens can lie about their age without being verified to access AP. It's more of a child's game than anything anymore. I sometimes go on there to chat with friends who don't use SL. The avatars are all right but I can't seem to find my style on there without using my male avatar. 

    If SL banned someone it was probably a legit reason like interacting with the child avis.

    Mobile and the Future of Second Life

    I hope the new mobile app has some security measures in place. Once IMVU got a mobile app so many underage users flocked to IMVU because it is listed as a Social game in the app stores for phones and tablets. I would like to see Linden lab to prevent minors from flocking to SL. Parents these days don't know how to parent properly and almost every child in the household has phones these days with zero security or parents going through phones. It's a dangerous thing out there i just hope it doesn't turn out to be like another imvu app. 

    There are tons of underage minors on the adult side of imvu,  there is a teen server but its not as good as the adult server. The app / company has no limits on verifying ages when buying AP a slim adult rated item. not like what SL has its a bit boring. thats why i mainly moved here to SL to get away from the minor situation.

    I use it on my RP sim one it deters bots two i have a few stalkers who know my SL account and will purposely cause problems on my sim so payment info on file works as well my security orb. it just makes it easier to handle the problem rather than deal with it. Not to mention estate banning lists only go up to 500 people max. I don't want drama on my sim to disrupt it.

    I remember that guy to be honest i don't visit those kinds of groups anymore since most of them are spam anyways. As for my blocked list i have very few people about 9 people who i don't want to associate with online on any given platform.

    Hello there, as the owner of Midnight Falls, we are currently revamping our sim to fit an urban theme. We have several jobs open that are roleplay based. We are using the Needy Hud system within our RP sim.

    We are looking for Faction leaders for the following factions.

    -Demons

    -Angels

    -Merkin (Mermaids)

    - Witches

    - Fae (Fairies)

     

    These factions hold the supernatural community together where our sim is a non masquerade themed sim. All other supernaturals are welcome. We do not have an opening date at this time but we are gathering people who be interested into making this community work.

    I love the Twi animals I have one but I run around as a wolf. My RP character is a werewolf that shifts into three different types of wolf forms. One is teen wolf human werewolf form, one is Crino's from werewolf apocalypse earth blood game and the twi wolf is like the twilight werewolves.

    Midnight Falls is looking for a Dark magic witch to run the voodoo shop and we are looking for staff to run the haunted asylum. Our RP is adult rated, but we mostly run a moderate genre theme story.  We are open to creating lore but here is the start of our story.

    " You travel across the land through a series of mountains, a small abandoned swampy town somehow attracts your attention to explore... You take a look around seeing how it would be fun to stay. But you're trapped and cannot leave. A witch has casted a spell to make you stay. So, while you're here make yourself at home. Venture into our dark world of Town of Midnight Falls a dark urban horror supernatural abandoned town."
