  1. it is weird because i saw some other asking same question on other forums, too...like this one https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/6905/how-to-set-different-colors-to-each-side-of-plane. Just wondered if there is another way than duplicating or backfacing node(which is still one material so no idea if it would work in SL)
  2. Yes, but let's say i have a plane. When i click on the face, it choses the face from both sides in Blender.
  3. Only way to use different materials on faces is to duplicate the mesh and flip normals ? Is there any other way for it ? Because duplicating it increases the amount of vertices which is not so desired
  4. @Chic Aeon I will give it a try, thank you very much
  5. I saw some glass objects in another glass object in SL. Is there another way to make transparent faces like glasses ? Or you think they are made as you explained above ?
  6. Hello, i am back with a new question. When you use alpha maps on two or more object close to each other, one's face dominates others and you see only one of them. There is a solution for this ?
  7. Well i don't think i can get used to it, because i feel like it is getting my eyes tired lol. But that is ok. i have just noticed the pictures i take by Firestorm at ultra, are clear. i think it will do its job. Because i mostly use mid or high not to lag. Thank you for your answers
  8. This was taken at High https://prnt.sc/fh35jo and this was taken at Ultra https://prnt.sc/fh35t6 It is not a huge blury but still it is a blury while it is supposed to be more quality and clear.......and yes still blury when ALM is disabled.
  9. @Whirly FizzleIt is unchecked already. When i check, it gets extra blury. This is how my avatar looks like at Ultra https://prnt.sc/fh29v5 And these are my graphic settings; https://prnt.sc/fh2eht https://prnt.sc/fh2euc https://prnt.sc/fh2fcl https://prnt.sc/fh2fma
  10. @Alwin Alcott I mostly use it at mid, but ultra would be nice to take pictures sometimes.
  11. Hello guys, i have a vaio laptop with GT 740M graphic card. When i drag my graphic settings to ultra at Firestorm, it gets blury. Does that mean my graphic card doesn't support ultra settings or are there some graphic card settings on laptop i can change in order to enable ultra settings ?
  12. i rebaked one part with 15 px and i don't see the black lines on it anymore. Thank you . Now, i have to rebake all textures.
  13. @Rolig Loon i mean i see black lines on my seams when i zoom out alittle. I didn't upload them with low LOD, though. @Ivanova Shostakovich My images are 1024x1024, Margin 1px and bake them with 500.
  14. Hello, it is me again. I wanted to ask a question about seams. When i zoom in my seams i see them normal (https://prnt.sc/ffywzu) but when i alittle zoom out i see them like this in the picture(https://prnt.sc/ffyx2n). What may cause that ?
  15. Hello again guys. So i finished my mesh with 2602 triangles and it consist of 6 pieces. I joined them and uploaded to SL. It took 7 LI. Then i reuploaded some parts separately and linked in SL. LI decreased to 5. I am sure it would go less if i uploaded all parts separately and linked them in SL But it is alittle hard to arrange their places perfectly in SL. So i had left some parts joined before i uploaded. I wanted to type it incase some day someone, new at creating meshes for SL like me, reads here. It may give an idea
  16. It is Blender. I had a joined object with afew materials. So i would just bake each material and then figured out i had to unjoin them to bake them
  17. Sometimes baking ends up blank, though. Any idea what may cause it from your experiences ?
  18. Well, some graphic cards don't support ultra graphic settings. In that case, baked shadow can be good
  19. Your answers were helpful, thank you. i will make it by baking the texture
  20. Hello, are those shadows under the most of furnitures in SL made with any technic in 3D programs ? Or are they just black texturea with alpha maps on some planes, put under furnitures ?
  21. Well i figured i was working on flat and noticed that smooth option after i had typed here. As you said, it saves lots of triangles and still looks smoother. Those tips and pictures above helped alot. Thank you very much all
  22. That is a good example and so helpful, thank you. i am sure i have lots of triangles on my flat surfaces. So i can start by getting rid of them as much as possible.
  23. Thank you for the tutorials, Chich Aeon. I am not new on 3d modeling. Been working with 3ds max for long time. Now learning Blender. Just doing something into SL for the first time. So donno limits for it. Thank you, Arton. i have lowered it to 41,112 vertices. And will see what can be better. Thank you for the link by the way. Pamela, if i didn't wanted to bring "whatever i do" into SL, i would not ask for help here. Not all great in the begining. If you are not a help, ......you know.
  24. Well ok, don't go too harh lol. It is not something i didn't make into SL. I am just learning blender and made a sofa. i guess i used subdivide too much... like....6 times on each pillows in order to have not pixels sculpts. What do you think an acceptable vertice amount must be ?
  25. 1,626,436 vertices and 3,252,872 triangles are high for mesh ?
