  1. How do you obtain your ideal appearance while keeping ease of use and versatility?
For me I keep things simple as possible. Due to being an avid roleplayer I prefer to keep the same face and body to keep the character consistent. To do that while having appropriate costume changes I decided to stick with a system body and rely upon alpha layers. Because of that I am loosely compatible with the wide portion of attachments and clothing available on the market.

I reserve the option of mesh body parts for when I have a set look and can just replace parts without breaking.

What is your method of creating your second you?
  2. Free ones exist but they turn SL into a chat client rather than a 3d world. Lumiya is okay considering you can get a lot done on it. You do however lose some functionality with items the need a long press or a click on a certain area. Also you cant use vehicles or weapons. Not really drawbacks. Just things you should expect.

  3. Thank you very much n.n

That seems like what I needed. I also found the avastar tutorial on weight painting that also explained rigging. From what I have gleaned, it is in a super simplified fashion just joining the skeleton with your item.

A few more steps involved to do it right but close enough for this caveman to understand.

    *puts his club down*

Again thank you very much n.n

  4. Really its more of an observed trend. I will never point fingers or name names. Despite my opinion on neo nazis and similar groups. I still feel it is their right to think and feel however they want.

Now I am not just looking at an increase in grey uniforms to base my views on. Rather there is hardish proof in an anecdotal persuadion.

While I know that the amount of Vicers I have met do not qualify as the majority. A lot of what I say it pure, harmless, even lighthearted extrapolation based upon available information.

Tldr? I know that not ALL who play as third reich soldiers are de facto Nazi's. For a bit I was myself a non political Vicer for a better known German Group.

My OP is intended to be a light hearted and commonly held opinion.

  5. Really I just need the simplest, dumb as a rock, explanation for how to perform a mesh rigging for clothing. From what I gather you are basically pairing the second life skeleton with the clothing in question. Would I just join the model and the SL skeleton in blender? Or should I seek "better" software. I don't have the means to use avastar at the moment and I am painfully inept regarding mesh.
I am genuinely asking the usually helpful community for pointers because the tutorials never seem to stick.
  6. Why are there so many neo Nazis in WW2 Vice/RP DX. Its gotten to the point that the fourth reich will take place Jeogeot Gulf. Nowhere enough players for us poor beleagured allies.
Yes I know I am stating something obvious.....just a silly rant. Subject title hints at that xp. "My god Captain Obvious!!!!" ala google translate. So please take this with a grain of sugar.
  7. Wow no need to get angry when someone presents an answer you dont like. Requesting copyrighted items via the forums is a poor decision simply because it is going to make YOU and the prospective builder targets for IP infringement cases. Your absolute best bet is to talk to some one who already sells similar items inworld. LL is far less likely notice. Really a better idea would be a work inspired by your favorite character not directly derived. You will still need to find a builder inworld but the process is not quite as daunting as it sounds.

Anime groups likely have at least a couple people who would be capable and willing to make the commission.

Just be prepared to wait for the product and dont pay everything up front. I suggest half at first half at delivery.
