  1. Ok. Well, I'm guessing that the person had some sort of hud or attachment, almost certainly a violation of the TOS, that allowed him to enter a parcel where normally he should have come up against yellow banlines and been unable to enter, but of course I don't know that for sure. And the likelihood that anyone from LL will ever contact me and tell me how the person did it is practically nil so that's why I'm asking here, hehehe.
  2. Well, the parcel or region banning is not the main issue I'm talking about. The main issue is that the parcel has public access unchecked, yet an avatar that was not on the parcel access list was still able to get into the parcel. That would seem to be enough information for the question to be answered. Nevertheless I did submit a ticket.
  3. Yes, the entire sim is mine. I did take care of the issue with the day-old avatar rezzing two large boxes. They will not be able to do that now. The other issue, however, is still a mystery to me. One of the parcels has public access turned off, so that only avatars on the access list should be able to enter the parcel at all. Yet this other avatar (a different one from the one who rezzed the boxes elsewhere in the sim) was able to enter the private parcel and was able even to stay there for longer than a minute. I checked while the avatar was there right in front of me and public access in the parcel was definitely unchecked. The avatar was not removed until I banned it from the parcel. But the avatar should not have been able to enter the parcel in the first place.
  4. Yes, I think that is what happened. I had thought that all five parcels in my sim had Object Entry for Everyone unchecked, but after I asked the question here I found that in two of the five parcels it was checked after all. Needless to say it is now unchecked in all five parcels, lol. My apologies for asking what turned out to be an unnecessary question here.
  5. Well no, I had asked both questions from the beginning, lol. The one question has been solved, the other hasn't, hehehe.
  6. Correct, it is a private region, not part of Mainland. However, my apologies, I did solve part of the mystery. The sim is divided into five parcels, and I just now saw that Object Entry for Everyone was indeed checked in two of the parcels, so that's how the griefer was able to rez. I had only looked at the settings for the parcel where the objects were located at the time I found them. My apologies once again. However, the other issue I brought up still is not solved. One of the parcels most definitely had Public Access unchecked, and still does now, yet I witnessed an avatar not on the access list (different avatar from the one that rezzed the boxes in another part of the sim) coming into the private parcel and staying for longer than a minute, even though that avatar is definitely not on the access list. I even looked at the parcel settings while the avatar was there and Public Access was definitely unchecked. So I still do not know how this avatar was able to get into the parcel without being on the access list. I myself have always come up against the yellow banlines when I have inadvertently tried to enter such a parcel, such as when sailing, for example.
  7. My sim does not adjoin any other sims so the avatar could not have rezzed the boxes in an adjoining sim and then pushed the objects into mine, nor ride an object from an adjoining sim into mine. The one and only way to get to my sim from any other sim on SL is to teleport.
  8. It was unchecked, and still is. Nevertheless the day-old avatar was able to rez two large boxes.
  9. This morning I witnessed two avatars, one two years old, and the other created today, overriding land permissions that I thought were impossible to override. The two year old avatar entered our private parcel and was able to stay in it for well over a minute even though public access for the parcel is unchecked and even though the avatar's name was most definitely not on the parcel access list. The day old avatar was able to rez two large objects in another parcel on the same sim, even though this avatar is not a member of the group the land is deeded to, and even though the parcel is most definitely set to where only members of that group can rez in the parcel. I'd like to know how these avatars are able to do these things and how I can prevent it in the future. Thanks.
  10. Only minutes before I discovered that a day-old avatar had rezzed objects without permission on my sim, another older avatar was able to come into our private parcel and stay for more than a minute even though public access for the parcel was definitely unchecked and even though the avatar's name is most definitely not on the parcel access list. Why did the avatar not encounter the yellow banlines as was supposed to be the case and how was the avatar able to enter the parcel anyway as should not have been the case?
  11. Today a day-old avatar came and rezzed two very large boxes on my sim even though the avatar is not in the group the parcel is deeded to and even though the avatar also has no permissions in the region settings. I checked all the settings carefully and am quite positive that in both parcel settings and region settings only certain avatars can rez, as in members of the land group and estate managers. This avatar was neither.
  12. This is the first time anything even remotely similar to this has happened in recent years, however, at least as far as I know. I joined SL in May, 2014, and the longest I can ever remember login problems occurring before was maybe four hours. But it has now been more than *twenty* hours since the login problems first started yesterday.
  13. Grid Status also falsely claims, "Websites operational," even though the main page of secondlife.com has been down for at least 30 minutes now.
  14. One of my friends is able to get inworld on Firestorm using the username and password he has always used. However, all of a sudden recently he has no longer been able to log into any portion of the Second Life website, including the dashboard, Marketplace, etc. Each time he tries, the message comes up that the username and/or password are incorrect. The fact that both the username and password still work on the viewer program allowing him to get inworld suggests to me that the problem is not with the username/password itself (i.e. both username and password are still valid and the password has not been changed) but instead is either a problem with the website only and/or with his browser. Yet his browser is the newest version of Firefox for Windows, so it is difficult to believe that the browser is not sufficiently updated. Because he cannot log into any portion of the website, he thus cannot file a support ticket. Is there a way he can contact Linden Labs independently of the website, such as by email, to get this problem resolved? And does anyone have any ideas about why he is able to get inworld with no problem at all, but the very same username/password combo does not work on the website? Perhaps his Firefox is missing a crucial plugin, for example? Thanks.
  15. Pretty much the same thing here, and it has now been more than 4 hours with no change. Can't TP anywhere out of the parcel I'm stuck in, more than one-third of the inventory never loads no matter how many times I relog, my friends list never finishes loading so I can't tell who is online nor can I send IMs to them unless they IM me first, and clothing and skin never fully rez up on my avatar. Except for one day in June when a lot of us were unable to log in for several hours, this is by far the worst and longest-lasting issue of server problems I have seen on SL in the past 7 months. Also I am a dj on SL and for the first time ever I missed a scheduled set because I could not get to the club, and even in the parcel where I'm stuck the music button is greyed out so that I cannot turn on the music stream.
