[Lines that annoy you most]

"Giggles" annoy me. I stopped giggling when i was like 12

Id much rather see "laughs, grins, etc" 

other things that annoy me and tend to be conversation closers are "smiles" and "nods"

DJs/Hostess that refers to you by your acct name and not your display name. I usually reply to them by saying "I'm doing fine DJLazy Resident"

Folks the try to pick you up with copy/paste pick up lines. Its funny, when i was available, id get ppl, that would IM me with the EXACT same wording as they did the time before and its usually not just "hello" it is a long sentence that you just know they didnt happen to say again.  . I respond with copy and pasting their previous attempt back to them ... followed by "wow" and that usually takes care of that

Hi there. 

  I am in a wonderful LT relationship with an amazing lady and was just curious where folks go to meet other couples.  Not for "adult fun" but just to hang out and do things. Seems most places are geared toward adult type activities, which don't interest me outside of what I have.

some of the things we enjoy doing are , mountain biking, HB riding, shopping events, boating and sometimes just a whole lot of nuthin, lol

most of the time if you select "Copy" it will eliminate the gachas as they are transfer only, assuming they were marked correctly. But I still think their own tab would be great!

How about long abandoned build from the moles or just unused areas (islands etc) could be built up in partnership with the amazing designers we have in SL already? This would be by invitation only and there would need to be a prim limit on it of course. In turn, they could put an inconspicuous  sign on the island with their name and perhaps a LM.  This would take the work off the moles and help really beautify some of the areas that are currently unused or under-used. It would also show SL residents, new and old ,  and showcase what is possible.

thanks again, I am not a scripter and honestly have little time or desire to become one at this point in my life. Maybe someday, but not now. This brings me back to my original question. Is there a suggestion on a HUD that can help me with texture changing made for creators?

seriously, thank you so much for your reply, but maybe I am too knew to texture HUDs etc, I got totally lost trying to follow your instructions. I'm sure they are solid and perhaps i just need lots and lots of coffee ☕  ☕

For the most part what I want to do is change a couple faces with different designs etc. I looked at BOSH stuff and I am a bit confused at what all would be needed although it does seem many creators use it so it cant be THAT confusing, can it?! ?

I am willing to look into whatever brand, doesnt matter as long as it is reliable and can do the job (and is somewhat easy to use). You all are a wealth of knowledge and i appreciate it in advance

i have been using Modish appliers for Catwa and Maitreya, i find so many other brands have a tendency to look almost copper or bronze instead of a true brown skin.  

[Why should I pay for a demo?]

There should be at least a free demo in world. I do get the idea of a 1L demo on MP so you can send to a friend, but I have a rule that I will not shop with a merchant that charges for a demo. I might miss some good things that way, but it is what it is. One of the worst offenders I noticed recently of my little rule seems to be wedding dresses. They can cost thousands of $L and some have no demo or charge for a demo? really? I just shop with my feet.  

One thing i would be willing to do is to join the (free) group to get free demos. it could be an incentive for folks to join, even though i know many would just leave afterwards, although I thought I'd do that with some that 2 years later I am still a member of.  I always check group notices and if they are not spammers, I tend to stay if i like the items in the store... but thats a whole different  subject

I truly doubt there will be much downgrading of free accounts. I sail, fly, horseback ride etc and I rent an island. Most of my friends here do similar things and none of us are a premium. member.  We may not cash out much (if at all) but we certainly cash IN. I spend about $30 USD per month, sometimes more if i do a new build, but have never really seen a reason to become a premium member. I dont need the land tier (I would prob just turn it into a rental, but bluh...) or the linden home. Any real restrictions to free accounts would devastate the rental community and that's HUGE business in SL

my guess is to the new premium tiers and features

Free account - remains unchanged with the exception of being able to cash out, Name change available at a increased price

Premium Tier 1- same as free except able to cash out and name change available at reduced fee (membership $30.00 a year)

Premium Tier 2- same as Tier 1 except all of the current benefits except land tier/linden home (membership $72.00 a year)

Premium Tier 3- same as Tier 2 but includes linden home/land tier (membership $99.00 a year)

 

don't know if any of this is even close to accurate, but common sense tells me they wont restrict free accounts that much because lots of free accounts keep the economy going

I totally get it and I'll admit when I was single I looked for that too. For me, it wasn't about how only they looked etc, I have seen some beautiful system avis.  for me it was 

1. Common Interests (can we shop together etc?)
2. SL commitment (are you willing to put a little money into the is world like I have?)
3. Mesh just looks better (If I'm going to be "with" someone, I want to be turned on, and a system body just doesn't do it for me )

It's a personal choice and I may have missed out  and I guess I will just have to live with that.

I am not currently a premium member and always a little confused how this all works. In laymen's terms can you please spell it out for me? 

My questions:

1. how do you get your free land?
2. How many prims does it come with?
3. How do you find your free land?

I have deleted my floors , walls etc , way too many times to admit. to stop this I now lock the object in the edit tab. That has helped so much. Horrible feeling picking up an item on your floor and find yourself falling to the earth because you took the floor instead.

it's the same ppl standing in the same spot several hours later and often it's right at the landing spot. it would eliminate that part anyway. I cam shop too, but not on the landing spot, thats just rude when ppl do that. Move a few feet please. personally i find a wall or a display to stand against so that I'm not in the way of traffic

would it make sense to put a timer on how long someone can be in an event? like 90 mins or something with a warning that pops up that says you have 5 mins left to complete transactions etc... is this even possible?

I'm just thinking I go to these events and see ppl standing around in the same spot when i visit the even again hours later. I am guessing they auto teleported in and are standing around until they come back to their computer some time later. It takes up a spot for someone that actually wants to shop and spend money with the merchants.. just a thought... might be way off with this one (wouldn't be the first time.. or the last) 

My idea wouldn't apply to premium members, so there is another perk for premium (which I am not one, lol)
