    Will Gaeta 1 ever be completed?

    looks like the SW corner of Zindra is the same way.. There is so much abandoned land around, you'd think they could use some of the existing server space to complete the look of some of these with minimal cost. I just cant stand the look of things that are incomplete! makes me wish I had never seen it, now it bugs me because i dont think it will ever be fixed! 🤐

    I was looking around at the different mainlands and i had never been to Gaeta 1 before. I was shocked to see that it wasn't completed on the east side. I kept waiting for my map to fill in. I thought it was lag!  😎  But did some reading and i see it seems to be an abandoned.  finishing off the east side would undoubtedly impact folks that thought they were buying a sim edge, but a nice slope to a beach would be better than what's there  anyway. It just looks really bad and isn't a good look for LL  to leave something unfinished and seemingly forgotten like that

    LL know it is popular, so they can just as well set it in an auction. That can drive the price up, because you might bid on it and your bid is the highest 1 second before the auction ends, but people have some program to buy it in the last second. They snap it up for a few L more, and offer it to you for double the price. Speaking of experience.

    I am interested as well and have my eye on some. I see some big parcels against a road. From what I read, LL will make it the size you want but because it is against protected area they might put it up for auction and not sell it directly. which isnt the end of the world. There are some 1024 parcels in the area that have been unsold for a while so i would just use those as a back up if the bidding gets crazy.

    so if I want to buy it as my group, I would ask that an 1120 parcel be cut from it? I ask because I have never seen those come up for auction and they seem very rare in the land for sale searches. Should I keep my request to 1024?

    How long does it take for them to get it up for auction or for sale? any experience with that?

    a good way to find 1024 parcels is the search function. set the land size to 1024 or 1120 etc and then set the max price you want to pay

    You can sort it by land size. Note: even if the land size at the bottom of the page is like 4096 plots, go to the next page, there will be more 1024 parcels. Not sure why it does that but thats the way it works in firestorm anyway.

    I will still rent my island. I love it there and have a great bargain. but i figured the 1024 plot would make a nice place for my second store or if that doesn't work out there, i could always rent it out. I have already started the land search even though I am not premium yet. I love either the coast or the road. Biggest issue i see on mainland is ban lines.. they are everywhere it seems and each time I've looked, its because someone has it set to group only. 

    thats a pet peeve and that will derail this topic quickly so I'll not say any more about the ugly ban lines (yes i have them turned off, but still...)

    Hi Folks

     I'm looking for opinions and any inside knowledge y'all seem to have. It recently has come to the point where it makes sense for me to become premium. when I work the math out, it actually pays back more than I pay in if I do an annual membership for me with the stipend and the savings on land tier. 

    My questions is, should I do it now or wait? Does anyone have a clue what or when the new tiered premium memberships might come? Jan 1st seems to make sense. It seems like its a bit of a gamble to wait.

    Windlight : Annan Adored Optimal Skin, it's one of the shadowless settings to show a skin "blank"as it is. For more advanced looks you will find a lot at Skells flickr/blog, also with other heads, a great place to get inspired.

    The shape is from Catwa, out of the box.

    I just made minor tweaks to the lips, nose, and cheeks. I don't think Ethan has made any tweaks to his, since I'm fairly certain in another thread he said those images were straight out of the box with the standard shape.

    Skins and lighting matter greatly with a head, so trying some skin demos will be worth it.

    I'm sure thats it, we just messed around with the skin that came with it

    so yeah, I can def see that lighting means everything, Just look at the things sold on MP that never seem to look like that when you get them home 🤨

    Im guessing you all reshaped that considerably because i cant get anywhere close helping him, lol

     

    messing with it is half the fun though I suppose 🤩

    There is only one head that's half price at Catwa today: the new male release mentioned above. No other Catwa heads are discounted.

    I moved this topic from the fashion thread, sorry about the double post but I tried to kill it when i realized this was likely the better spot for it

     

    Hi there

     I am helping someone build a new look and he was asking my opinion about Geralt Vs Gianni. I don't know much about Male mesh avis so I figured I would ask here

    this is what I see so far from looking

    Gianni

    • Older and more supported with clothes
    • seems to have a better alpha HUD (more cuts)

    Geralt

    • fewer defined muscles (this appeals to my friend)

     

    They both look good, more concerned about support and the mechanics, I have purchased mesh bodies and soon had almost no clothes for them until I finally purchased Maitreya.  I know how much of a frustrating and expensive mistake that was.

    I am certain you all can help as I really don't know much about either. I have searched some blogs and videos 

    Found a good one from someone on here "Virtual Bloke" but it was dated in April, so I don't know if there has been many changes now or how well Geralt is supported with clothing after its release earlier this year
