  1. old topic but the issue is caused by drivers of 23.3 or 23.4 and later for AMD (i got a RX 560), rolling back to 22.5 or 22.11 or such fixes it, as the issue is Vram bloats, drawn your ram then to the max and FS crashes, it is an AMD issue of how it handles OPENGL is my guess. So unless you need to play the newer game rollback works, be sure to also roll back the window drivers if the andrenaline stops responding as windows just updates it else to a april version 2023.
  2. I fixed it in a way (had this issue a year now first with pink flashes and crashes later just a freeze) I rolled back to 22.5.1 but read rolling back to 22.11.XX works as well. The newer 23.XX amd drivers are the problem with more openGL games, where it keeps draining VRAM> then starts using Ram and it freezes or crashes eventually, if you like me only got 16gb and FS goes to 12-13gb.
  3. Maybe an old thread but the last firestorm this got worse, as before as normally my graphics would space out and now they crash, sims with a lot of bloodm, sparkles and avis do it faster. The issue as far I see is some AMD cards the VRAM is 100% and over used and it starts draining your regular RAM to for me 12gb of my 16 till FS freezes (older FS it'd be spacing out). As far I can tell rolling back to 22.11 or earlier drivers fixes the issue... the newer 23.XX since late last year are the culprit with many openGL games (fs included).
