  1. Hello, Im looking for a script that will open this suitcase on touch. And also is it possible to have a hold animation? Is that done with a script as well? Doesn't need to be fancy. Thank you. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Suitcase-Mesh-Object-Full-Permission/5841688
  2. Can I get a recommendation for a script that will open this suitcase on touch? I see a lot of door opening scripts on the MP but nothing specifically for boxes or in this case a suitcase. Will a door script work the same? Thanks for all help! https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Suitcase-Mesh-Object-Full-Permission/5841688
  3. Thank you, my first time working with jeans textures:) I was lucky, the creator was reasonable and refunded my lindens. I'm still on the quest to find the perfect mesh bell bottom template though.
  4. Whoo hoo that totally worked. Adobe still offered the 7.0.1 update on their website, got it downloaded and made a real alpha channel. No more white halo! Thank you so much for posting this info:)
  5. A week ago I posted this original thread seeking advice on getting rid of the "white halos" from my transparencies. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Building-and-Texturing-Forum/Need-advice-from-photoshop-wizards/m-p/2729120#M11761 I received a great link and have followed the instructions carefully. However this technique isn't working for me and I think it's because of the version of PS I'm using. It's my understanding that PS 7 supports alpha channels in a different way than all other versions. Can anyone confirm this or give me any other advice regarding using PS 7 and getting rid of white halos? Thank you!
  6. Okay, so in my clothing shop I have implemented the little cut out sample outfits on a hanger that you see in a lot of shops. In other words, instead of just having the vendor on the wall, I have a realistic hang bar with the little outfits hanging on it, ( simple one prim textures with alpha masking. My problem is that the images, while passable, are not as crisp and clean as I have seen in some other shops. They are a bit out of focus and they have a slight jagged edge around them. I'm taking high resolution images (3432x1770) inworld using studio lighting effects/backgrounds and saving as PNG. The images look nice and crispy in photoshop but when I upload them they are as described above. In the pic below I have added a 50% opacity outer glow in black because before that there was a white jagged edge that jumped visually. The black has made it better, but it still looks pretty lame to me. Any suggestions from you photoshop pros? Oh and p.s. I'm on PS 7...don't laugh it's all I got!
  7. Wow I'm bummed to hear that. Up until this point I've been using mesh clothing templates from White Canvas, super cheap and they look really nice. This was the first time I'd spent $1200 lindens on a clothing template. Booo! Thanks for your answer, back to the drawing board.
  8. Hey there, sorry if this has been asked before. I searched and found nothing similar to my problem. So, I'm working with a mesh template from a creator I have no previous experience with. Started my template in photoshop, uploaded it to check that my seams/crotch/buttons were lining up were they are supposed to be on the avi and noticed that the texture when applied to the mesh is very distorted and blurry. I have included two pics one from my photoshop template were you can see that the lines are straight and one from inworld. Suggestions?
  9. There's this one too. It comes with a shaved hair base, but you could easily change it out for a regular one that gives the impression of the hair being pulled back into a pony tail. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/SugarsmacK-DEMO-SashonPink-Berri/4812660
  10. Okay I got that to work just fine, thank you. So do you mention not to make it no mod because the bow will likely end up in odd places for the new owner?
  11. New builder here. So I have a mesh skirt and a mesh bow that I wish to link. I link them on the ground np, take them and then try them on...the bow is on my hand now. Both attachment points of the skirt and bow are the right hand. The skirt goes on my butt but the bow goes on the hand like I mentioned. How do I link the two mesh items and get them to attach to the same point? Also they are full perm mesh templates that I have to link to a root prim so I can put my makers mark on them, if that is of importance. Thank you.
  12. Hello:) Can anyone recomend an easy to use, inconspicous teleporter for a shop that has three floors. Ultimately I would like for the customer to be able to choose which floor they'd like to visit. Also the shop is located in a historical art deco era sim, so the appearance is fairly important. Either inconspicous or vintage style would be cool. Or...if there is a script that I can build into my own platform, that would work also. Thank you!
  13. Okay, well that's a bummer. I'll try the eye dropper and see if it will pull the texture out of my inventory. If not, I have the house in my inventory, it just sucks because I have already compleatly textured the thing and all my stuff is in there hanging on the walls. Maybe I'll just get a new floor texture and start fresh, hehe. Thanks for your help everyone!
  14. I picked up a freebie house from a vendor and rezzed it on my land. Today I accidently applied an alpha texture to one face of the floor while building something else. The texture does not appear to be in my inventory, at least when I've looked for it I couldn't find it. How can I get that texture back? I still have three other faces that have the original texture if that helps. Thank you!
  15. Thanks for the replies. Okay I have a bit of fixing to do in this case. Now how about the items that are currently displayed in my shop that were set for sale already? I took copies of those items and put those copies in my merchant outbox. They will have hover dollar signs as well wont they?
  16. Thank you to everyone that offered assistance and advice. It is good to know all of these things and I appreciate the time you took to answer me. I'm glad I asked, because in my short time in SL I have seen many things being offered for sale or for free that are most definately copyright items, (i.e. tee shirts with disney logos etc), Also inworld friends have given me varying advice on the subject. Infact one friend told me, if it's copyright just offer it for free. Sooooo... I was unclear, but now I know.
  17. Hello all, When I am editing an item in prepration for sale on the MP only, should I tick the box "For Sale" and place a monetrary value in it? I've been doing that, but it occured to me that once the new owner rezzes the item, it may have the "$" tag on it when you mouse over it. Sorry it's a silly question, but I'm a new MP store owner. Thank you!
  18. Nah, quite the opposite. This weekend I built my first store inworld and on the mp, and now I have an answer to my question and I can proceed quite happily! Have a great day
  19. Okay thank you everyone, Griffin Ceawlin no need to get your panties in a ruffle. I asked because I wanted to know. It was an honest question, I have my answer, please carry on with enjoying your day.
  20. Well, that's why you ask. I'm new to SL, I'm even newer to creating and selling on the MP. The item in question is a rather famous painting, you can find it all over blogs and what not. I do not fully grasp the intrinsical nature of the copyright laws in SL yet. For instance you can have a website and post pictures of the same photo as a tribute, but you can not have the same picture available for zero lindens as a tribute. That is why I was wondering. Better to be safe than sorry.
  21. Can I list a piece of artwork that is copyright, but offer it for free? I certainly do not want to infringe on any copyright laws and I don't want to make money from this item. However I love the artwork and wished to offer it for use in world as a tribute to it's original creator. edit: I have read the marketplace selling policies and the rules seemed to be geared towards selling and making a profit of of anothers copyrighted objects. I could be wrong, that's why I wanted to check here and get some opinions.

  23. Thank you, okay I tried that and got a little better results, but it is still not matching up. Can anyone tell me in laymans terms why this is happening and how to fix it, so I can understand what is happening? Thanks again.
