    I got the 4.7.2 offline version to install but radegast still crashes if i click on 3D Scene

    Hiya

    what is needed to run 3D Scene in Radegast?

    the moment i click 3D Scene viewer instantly crashes and closes only text chat seems to work

    I have .NET Framework 4.8 (recommended) 2019-04-18 installed and i tried installing 4.7.2 but i get error blocked

    I didn't install every visual c++ on the web site due to broken software floating around like this

    Do most people stay with the SL day cycle or just set their viewer to noon?

    with firestorm viewer i always kept day cycle midday and ignore all server settings with all builds prior to eep and with the beta eep otherwise i cannot see in world during night with the firestorm viewers

    i also disable automatically change environment to use region/parcel settings. incredibly annoying setting that is enabled by default that alters your day cycle setting after you set it to midday and change servers

    in real life you never own the sky above your land second life should be the same then they wouldn't be allowed to destroy the mainland for everyone piloting

    ban lines take care of security and there is a ban list for grieffers if land owners did not own the sky and only owned the land then they could not have security orbs instantly kick and ban everyone from mainland continents while anyone was piloting aircraft's of any kind

    only con is sky box's but it would be a simple solution to fix mainland they could allow for a certain part of the sky to be owned for sky box's but not all of it and attempt some form of fix band aid of some kind then you would only have to watch your altitude while piloting if there was free space in the sky a safe zone for pilots

    https is a good thing not a bad thing linden labs websites in a normal browser have a https url and viewers are still only http

    you replaced the executable in the main folder and kept the old file system?

    i would copy both folders but that is just me

    currently at this time very moment in time 7/29/2020 there is three options to update and fix browser issues in viewers download and install official viewer from linden labs or update the viewer yourself like i did or download the firestorm beta

    for the average user your probably better off just using the auto installers unless you really wanna tinker badly i kinda doubt one file was appropriate kinda baffled why firestorm is not updated and maintained the linden labs websites should have warning labels on viewers that fall behind in updates or maybe blacklist if they have to who monitors 3rd party viewer projects oversight i am sure linden labs could reach out and ask google for guidance on whether or not it is okay to still be running chromium 72 in firestorm in 7/29/2020

    I had hoped for someone to chime in on how i did since the viewer cannot auto detect anything but this was all the guidance and support i got

    left side of screen graphics

    top of tab general

    uncheck Ambient Occlusion

    click ok then reboot viewer and see what happens

    and always remember when buying a new computer and you wanna play second life only nvidia

    if this is a cause refrain from using the graphics presets in any viewer and toggle the settings manually and do not turn on any unsupported features like Ambient Occlusion etc

    you can also work your way down that list where Ambient Occlusion is and uncheck the settings and rebooting viewer and finding the cause no idea for Advanced Lighting Model

    Second Life is made exclusively for nvidia
