  1. I have one alt for selling gacha stuffs. Her avatar is nothing fancy. I think she still uses system clothes. My main account has a bunch of avatars and they're all super diverse. Lots of old RP characters, petite avatars, crazy detailed demons and/or fairies just for fun, and my normal everyday human avatar. I guess I could use an alt for each theme, but that would be a lot of mesh bodies to buy.
  2. I use this HUD for photography. It has an option to roll your eyes. It might be what you're looking for.
  3. I agree with this, but to elaborate, you don't always need to spend lindens to get a nice avatar. Plenty of stores offer high quality freebies you can use, such as Al Vulo for skins and IKON for eyes, plus the Hair Fair is going on right now and many of the vendors there have free gifts. I would suggest looking at http://fabfree.wordpress.com/ since they have regular updates of free clothes, plus a list of creators who offer free things to accounts 30 days and under, and an inworld building full of freebies. Otherwise, browse the forums for job openings. You may also, as one of the other posters suggested, add a list of your skills and interests to this thread. It'll increase the chances of someone offering one to you. Good luck!
  4. Hello! I know how confusing SL can be at first, and how hard it can be to find your place in it. Considering your interest in graphics, you may have fun with building. I've been getting into that lately. I don't have the means (or lindens) to hire you for anything, but I would be happy to be your mentor. I also have a Skype account we could talk on if you like. I made one specifically for SL so I don't have to give out my real name. IM me anytime. If I'm offline, you may need to send me a notecard instead. Sometimes my IMs get capped.
  5. Thank you! I didn't know that about the textures - I'm not great at building. I like the idea of galleries. I might have to go explore some.
  6. I'm a pretty good artist IRL and I could use a few $L, so I'd like to try selling some art in SL, but I'm not sure where to start. I scanned and uploaded a couple of my drawings, and got good feedback from the people I showed them to, but after that I ran into a few roadblocks. First, how should it be displayed? Could I just texture a regular prim with my art, or should I find some sort of sculpt or mesh so that the art only covers one side of the object? And if I need a sculpt or mesh for it, are there any inexpensive ones you would recommend? How should I price it? I'm thinking of starting out with several simple pieces of line art and pop art and maybe one or two detailed/shaded pieces, but because the only art I've found is what's on the marketplace, and because what's on there is nothing like what I draw, I have no reference for pricing. Is 50L good for a simple pop art drawing of a sunflower (for example)? Or should I go higher or lower? Where should I sell it? I'm getting the idea that the marketplace is probably not the greatest venue for selling art, but I can't really afford to pay rent unless it's ridiculously cheap. Are there any groups for SL artists? Thanks in advance for any help. :)
