Full Sim for Sale - Mainland - not estate
Honeysuckle Humby replied to Honeysuckle Humby's topic in Mainland
My apologies - I was not being greedy! I looked all over the world to see what pricing there was for a full sim, depending on what type of terrain it had etc.. The ones I checked were between 200,000 and 600,000 L$ so I went for my original asking price as I thought it was reasonable compared to the prices elsewhere for a full sim. I did not work out the cost into GB Pounds or other currency. If I had, then I certainly would not have asked the price I seemed to be selling the land for. I have opened an Amended Price thread now and hope that it is considered more reasonable. -
The full sim of Aswang is for sale, attractive land with a lake. L$ 350,000 Full prim allowance for sim, this is Linden land, not estate owned. Aswang 128, 128, 24

I posted a thread earlier today in the Mainland forum because I have some shops to rent and nowhere else seemed a suitable place. I have now found that my thread has been moved to Parcels for Rent: Estate!! Well, considering I am not offering parcels for rent and that my land is on mainland and not Estate land, to me this seems to be the wrong place altogether for people who would be interested in renting a shop, to see. I would be most grateful if someone could let me know please how I would contact a moderator so that they can be aware that my shops to rent are not parcels of land nor are on Estate land. Many thanks.

For the Special Offer to the first five renting our new shops for a minimum of two weeks or longer, we will refund one weeks rent to you. This group of shabby chic and attractive style shops for rent are set in a peaceful and attractive new shopping square in Olde Aswang Valley Village. The shops vary in size and some have a floor upstairs too. There is a small market in the shop square with market stall rentals available if you prefer something smaller. There are places to sit and some freebies dotted about and it is all meant to be relaxing and peaceful and provide a more slower pace of life (Second or Real). The whole sim is themed to be idyllic, peaceful, attractive and olde worlde (rather than medieval) in some places. We have endeavoured to maintain an attractive appearance within the whole sim so that all can enjoy a relaxing life in Olde Aswang Valley Village. We will soon be opening a hangout for all to enjoy near the shopping square which will also hopefully build traffic to the shops. Come and visit Olde Aswang Valley Village and be one of the first five to rent these new shops. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Aswang/184/33/35

Thank you Innula. I put a thread in the Land, General discussion board to mention my new shops to rent. It was being seen by those who would be interested in that, then it was moved to Parcels for rent, Estate! Well as this was not about parcels for rent and as it is on mainland and not an Estate as such, it is now being looked at by many who are probably interested in renting a parcel, which is not what my thread was about. So, unless it is moved to somewhere more suitable the people I want to see it won't be looking as if they want a shop to rent they won't be looking at parcels to rent! Also, those looking at parcels to rent will be disappointed reading my thread as it is about shops to rent. So, at the moment it is no good to anyone as it is in completely the wrong place. I was just wondering if there was a way we can send a message to a moderator to explain that so that they move it t a more suitable place.

We have a brand new shopping centre with shabby chic style shops now available for rent set in a peaceful and attractive shopping square as part of Olde Aswang Valley Village. The whole sim (Aswang) is themed to be idyllic, peaceful, attractive and olde worlde (rather than medieval) all set near or around a beautiful lake. The shops vary in size being small, medium or large. The large ones have stairs to reach an extra floor. There are two shops that are medium in size but have separate residential accommodation over them. The residential parts will be rented separately to the shops below them but if you are interested in renting both the shop and the above residential accommodation we can negotiate a different rate for a joint rental. In the centre of the shopping square there is a small market with a few stalls available to rent if you prefer those to a shop. There are a couple of stalls with freebie items for residents and visitors to enjoy. There are places to sit in the shopping square, bicycles to ride (which you touch and wear), paths leading to other areas of the sim and all meant to be relaxing and peaceful and provide a more slower pace of life (Second or Real). The rent and prim allowances for the shops in Olde Aswang Valley Village are between L$250 per week with 50 prims to L$500 per week with 150 prims. You may rent for a minimum of one week and a maximum of 8 weeks, but of course will have the option to renew again after that if you choose to stay longer. The market stalls are L$100 per week to rent with an allowance of 20 prims. Olde Aswang Valley Village is still under construction, being landscaped and set up although the shopping square is now complete. All residents may use the communal lake with its little island that has a campfire and fishing on the rocks or use the loungers, deckchairs, floating rings, swimming poses and row boats or even just paddle in the lake. (As the sim is still being set-up some things are not available yet but will be soon). Please feel free to wander around the while it is being landscaped. When finished Olde Aswang Valley Village will have rivers, the lake, lots of interesting places to find and things to do while walking or cycling around the sim, shop and home rentals, many birds, animals and all sorts as well as a Secret Garden somewhere on the sim. (Don’t look for it, as it hasn’t been added yet)!! Come and have a look, and if interested right click on a rental box which will give further details and our Terms and Conditions. If you have any queries please IM me (Honeysuckle Humby) and I will get back to you as soon as possible. (I am online almost every day and if offline I will receive an email should you send an IM then) but also please allow for the fact that we might be in different parts of the world in RL). Thank you for visiting our Olde Aswang Valley Village sim and we hope to see you again. Aswang 185, 30, 35

Best Way To Help A Teen?
Honeysuckle Humby replied to Honeysuckle Humby's topic in General Discussion Forum
Thank you Jeanne for saying that it is nice of me to help her. That's all I wanted to do but I became worried about the sex questions and her rl age as she stated it to be because she maybe could get herself into some unwanted dramas!! I met her again last night because she wanted me to see her new home that she had found, so I went to see it and found that it wasn't a house she could rent at all!! She found it empty and thought it ok to just go in and use. This is where she and other newbies need help because she had no idea you rented or bought houses and so on. I contacted the owner to see if he was renting, after I looked around for a rental box and there wasn't one. It is in a PG parcel and nice stuff around. I explained to him that she is a newbie and thought she could just move in. He has kindly said that she can stay there til she gets herself properly sorted and gets used to things a bit more, which I thought was very kind of him. He does not live there, I hasten to add, and was just being like me, helpful to her as she is a newbie. She hasn't asked any more about sl sex or babies so maybe she was just being inquisitive because of what she had heard outside of SL. She was happily trying on new clothes in her new home when we parted company and I am pleased that she now has a base of some sort in PG land and seems happy enough with her lot as it is in SL at the moment. -

I think I answered posts from others in my post in reply to Polenth. Sorry about that. I am new to writing in the Forums and wasn't entirely sure how to make the reply to a particular post!! But I'm learning!! :-) -
Best Way To Help A Teen?
Honeysuckle Humby replied to Honeysuckle Humby's topic in General Discussion Forum
You say that my post comes across as if I didn't like this girl, which surprises me. I have only known her briefly, spoken to her a couple of times so as yet do not have an opinion as to whether I like her or not! She is polite, just wants to know everything immediately and because of the questions about sex after she told me how young she was I am just a little concerned for her because of what she might find herself caught up in here in SL. I am only trying to be kind to a newbie (whatever their real life age) and have suggested she learn to make things and told her about the education sessions she could attend to learn more about SL. I have tried to look for places to suggest for her to go to to make friends of her own age but as I haven't had any experience with anyone so young in the time I have been in SL before, I don't know what is available out there for youngsters. As I am only talking to her, showing her how to rezz, explaining how to use Search, the Map, her Inventory and so on I'm pretty sure I am not going to be found in a compromising situation with her. And as I am not trying to entice her into naughty things or getting her involved in something that might not be right for her age, then my account should be safe don't you think. It's such a shame that to be kind to someone just to help them means that I might even get into trouble myself. I would help anyone new, (or anyone experienced in SL) whatever their real life age and whether they were male or female. I know because of the anonymity within SL we really don't know who we are speaking to in rl we have to be careful, which is part of the reason I am trying to help this girl if she really us 16 or even younger, because she does not know yet all that goes on here. I'm not really wanting to hang out with a 16 year old anyway, so don't intend travelling about with her on her adventures. I have told her that if she has any questions etc., then I will help her that way. I just thought it might be nice for her to have someone to turn to if she needs to know about anything. I'm beginning to think that maybe I should be less kind in SL!! -

I'm not so sure I want to do the whole "mentoring" thing or being a parent with this girl. I just remember that it was difficult to know what to do, where to go, etc., when I started here a few years ago, so I am just trying to be kind to help someone as they try to learn it all. Don't worry, I don't make a habit of giving money away or stuff that has cost me money to people I don't know and don't intend to give more to this young lady (if indeed she is a young lady)!! I gave her some freebie clothes and a small amount of linden dollars just to help her. There won't be any more of that, apart from hopefully some helpful advice should she need it. I'm fully aware that she might not be who she says she is. In my second life I take people as I find them but always bear in mind they may not be the person they say they are. I am here in sl as I am in rl but of course, I realise that others might think I am not quite what I say I am - it cuts both ways!! It's quite obvious that she cannot come to my sim because of her age, so should the "friendship" not go well for any reason, she can't cause any problems for me that way, should she turn out to be a griefer. We'll see how it pans out I suppose. She might not even come back to sl and might not contact me if she does come back!!
