have you check your fire wall setting

only not being able to play the sound

well how can that crash your viewer

also check your preferances

control and P

make sure the voice is on

and the fire wall allow it and not blocking it

[4/4/14 HELP. I can't log in in secondlife . Crash problems :(]

you need to run the computer maintainance

run check disk

not deflragmentor

open my computer

click on C: drive and pick properties

pick the tool TAB and click it

tick all the little boxes

on the Error checking

restart the computor and let in run until its finish

this can take a long time

Im talking hours

so once done you be ok

this has happen to me

I have use 3 computer in game now

each one show up different graphic colour ( color )

A change of monitor can make a different to

most viewer look the same, but the Sl viewer you can see a change

so maybe trying a older viewer or change your viewer

I had that with firestorm, I believe its the way firestorm was going

windows use it to

you can see what behind the window you working on like the tool bar

so I change viewer

sorry but it the easy way out

its like the chat window now that appear to spam its self, and no one know that people are talking to them

so alot of pushing, by people to get attention, i use the older viewer, there are lots on-line, what I call user friendly

linden lab have a min of what you need to run secondlife

so check that out

go with what linden say if you like the game that much.

that what i do. that way you can not go wrong.

at one time the 200 nvidia crash alot, but linden got on top of that

you are uploading a texure

this cost 10 L

you can up load a texture, as a test, but its not going to stay, it will be deleted

but check the format you are using is ok

uninstall your viewer

and reload the old one

log into the game

use the sl search to find the mac support groups on my (on my computer press Control and F for the sl search)

you can also open the preferances window, in that you can trun off auto updates until u sorted out what up

[Why would firestorm not run Basic Shaders in Graphics?]

I normally tell people to shut the basic shaders off

if they have pink screen.

I use the nividia card

and have basic shader on, it look better.

normally i just change the shape

are you waring something on that arm

a ring

if so remove it

best to replace the shape

maybe the place you wish to land is not on line.

start your viewer, and were it say my last loccateion.

click on that, and pick type in a place, type into it london or pooley.

your account is safe, could be your connection not so good.

you could just restart the hub wait 5 mins before restarting it. that can help

all the 3D program are great, but lindins have there own one.

check that out

If I remenber right

you need the full account,

I went with Blender.org

its free, and second to none, with lots of support in game, and user groups to joint.

but the textures are what make the sculpts.

your paint program on the computer is good, or down load gimp, I use the two.as thet are all free.

open the inventroy

(control and i) press together

at the bottom you see library

open that

there a folder call clothing,

it is full of skins hair the full avatar

try reloading the skin or hair base.

if it not loading

you not downloaded your caches file, can take up to 30 min on a slow connection.

stay on line and wait to download the caches

once loaded you will appear

then you can see what not detach or loaded

you can not have two email address the same, it be like someone using your home address, it can not be done.

once you start the viewer.

you can open the top tabs

open the preferances window, and clear all caches files.

there 2 or 3 buttons that clear caches.

once you log back, you look like a red cloud for a time. but thats common.

failing that, the clean install the best options.

hope it work out ok, I have this prolbem, with my main computer, but in my case the graphic card may be on its way out.

or so im told.

[What happened? First time.]

press (control + i) together

that will open the inventory

at the bottom you will see library, open that, you then see landmarks folder

open that and pick the (main land) landmark

click on that to teleport back into the game

enjoy your self

your nvidia 7600 need to be 512 min

2 gig of ram ok

but your 2 core must be a 2gig min (2000 CPU)

try the firestorm viewer before upgrading, it work well with windows and linux.

make sure you downloaded the right viewer

is your system 32 bit or 64 bit, most are 32 bit so download the viewer to suit your system

As I still can not use my main computer to log into the game, and was asking if a clean window install may be the answer.

However I became a helper to protect new comer from white tiger mentors.

Yes you do not know, the two sides, so best to answer the question, and not take sides as you have done.

I told the white tiger mentor that they are harrassment of me and best they mute

and do not talk to me again

and your account is not avable until and a date and time

i manage to log on

but it took a lot of work

but now unable to log in with my main computer

now using my lap top

thinking maybe best to clean install windows, and start again
