  1. HAH! yea, the avatars will end up in less variations and will be heavyly overpriced - or do you really think if you can "choose the product you want" you get the same quallity as before from an item which is suppost to be LUCK BASED? No srsly, think about that for a moment.
  2. again in some cases i can understand that but some businesses actually have to run on such systems like collecting cards or similar. Srsly, tell me HOW else will you sell "random card drops" in booster packs if they are not suppost to be random?
  3. over 15 years to late for that. a lot people DOES make a living out of it, telling them "now" would actualy force them to leave SL and go to similar "games" like VRchat. So if LL would literally call them out to "not" make a living anymore from what they earn in SL, guess how much WILL be left anymore from SL in 2 years. NOTHING.
  4. i duno if you know avatars like the ones from Nutbusterz which creates super cute gacha avatars and are heavily animated, have a working battle system, have handdrawn/created textures and use full functional AOs ever saw (not making avertising here but im making a point here) but...i guess you never saw them.
  5. no coz people which created gachas will now either do one of the followed things: (Lets go with a sample and say a gacha creator made super good small avatars so lets keep that in mind) - The creator will create different versions which will end up heavly overpriced since now you actually can CHOOSE which version you want (think about a card game where the super rare cards are also super expensive...) - The creator will only do half-baked avatars now since its not anymore worth it anymore since the income is literally lower than before - the creator will only create super limited versions of the avatars he made before, maybe just 1-3 version of the before 12 versions. and for all of that will be said that the prices will sure rise - i mean as i said, a card game which has rare cards in it are also sold mostly overprices, keep that in mind.
  6. Yu-gi-ho card creators: thanks. my family will die.
  7. which will again cost something to create and it will again end up in a circle of copy/pasting so that every creator will end up creating something similar and we will end up with 1 avatar which has just a lot different creators and stuff like that. great, than i would rather buy a gacha item from one "good" creator where i know the item will at least end up in "good" quality. as i said with my first comment here ( ) I think the rules should be way more specific.
  8. yes, blueprints and materials are also a thing you could cast/catch in 7seas as well as rare clothes (for LL bodys but still) and other stuff next to fishes like actual fishfinders or a battlecrab to make your own mini tournamet.
  9. did you srsly ask for fair prices for items which were normaly created to be random? Srs wake up call but: i doubt that will be the case. such gacha items which were created to be random IN MIND will end up heavly overpriced...
  10. yes. as much as i remember i could sell it. its no mod/no copy but its trans like every gacha item - and they basicly count as collactables since they are tones of fishes.
  11. gaming card creators and collectors would literally cough right now in your direction. I think a lot people literally think about the big gachas (which im also sure are the reason why this rule is a thing now) but you have to think about smaller things which are literally "basicly a gacha" like said samples of trading- and collecting cards or games which are luck based like 7Seas or similar which seems like everyone forgot right now (and 7seas is OLD...).
  12. thats also what i thought since it basicly would count as gacha since: - it HAS a rarety system - you have to buy bate to get the more rare fishes - IF you even GET a fish is random - WHICH fish you get is also random And we are talking about 7seas, a super old (but still nice) fishing game in sl god dang it...
  13. imagen you going to jail there only coz you sold some pokemon booster packs...
  14. what you said is basicly "creating a own rarety sytem". again, think about trading cards like pokemon or yu-gi-ho. If you buy a booster of those you will always have a set number of cards in it and also a set number of commons and uncommons (and so on). you will always know "basicly" what you will get since the chances are equal. what you basicly said is if i make a cardgame where i make one super strong powerful card and 99 other cards which i literally "super similar" but just sh*t. thats literally creating a own rarety system which should of course also forbitten.
  15. @Patch Linden Being honest here, i can understand that gachas should be closed IF they work with a "rarety system" in their mind. Their are tones of creators, mostly clothes, which make 5 versions of X dress and ONE version has maybe a droprate of 5% if even. Such should be stoped and i can legit understand that. But what i dont like is that people which create "bubblegum" gachas where the chances are literally equal are also now putted on the black list. As sample, Lets say i create collecting- and trading cards (you know, something like pokemon-, magic- or yu-gi-oh cards). Those things are sold for maybe 5-20L$ for a card. The machine is literally a bubblegum automat where you put in some L$ and get one random card out of x cards. So you know: - You will get a card - the chances are equal to each card (so NO rarety system) - Which card you get is random By this new rules, it would mean such cardgames simply cant exist in sl anymore since the system behind such bubblegum automats is literally the randomness behind the "TRADING" and "COLLECTING" part - i mean think about booster packs you buy for your card game, you know you will get a set number of cards but the cards are always random - and they literally HAVE TO BE else the system makes no sense at all. So to be fair here, i think the rules for such are kinda very losely by literally banning everything which is luck based. Look at old games like 7Seas, as one good sample, it "basicly" is a gacha than as well since you dont even know if you get a fish or not - and it has a rarety system as well. Same would actually be Blind/black box sales and things like breedables which can also basicly count as gachas shince they are also somewhat based on a "random base" there. With that said, i think the rules should differ some things and should be more "specific", IF thats even possible: - Gachas with rarety systems (aka different droprates or similar) should be forbitten. - Gachas which have more than 1 different kind of item inside (aka if its not just pants but also panties, hats, jeans, etc in one gacha) should be forbitten. - Gachas which offers 1 item in JUST different variations should still be ok since the costumer will still end up with the item he sees. - Gachas where the droprates are equal with every "draw" the costumer takes should still be ok since all the chances are still equal and there is no rarety behind the system. So again, i dont disagree that gachas should be gone but i think that the rules might need more specification so that such things like tradingcards or simple similar things doesnt have to close their business doors forever.
