[A question bout the recent viewer update]

Thanks for your reply . i tried now to play there on graphic setting. to uncheck the setting boxes and see what happens. if i uncheck different settingthe view become less nice . but when i heard your advice and unchecked the "advanced lighting on" setting , i see the same lighting of the view i had once and i really liked. the water is still shiny and sharp and some things are different but at least the lighting was as once. but the problem is, tho the lighting go back to how it was, then all of the edges of my avi body. and of items in sl, even of lands ,and rocks, are not smooth with straight line anymore., the edges are becoming

serrated which looks bad. if you can understand what i mean, hard to explain....so i need to tick this option again and can't stay with this option off because it looks bad with the edges.. before the update i had this lighting and all was ok with the edges ........is there any solution ?

Hello. for the last months about 7-8 months , don't remember exactly , i been on the older version of SL viewer. it was 3.52 or something similar .not sure the exact version but it was 3.5 and something. Months back  i got the notice for an update and i did updated. It was when SL had the gamma changes and project sunshine i think . After the update i didn't like at all the view in the viewer. I guess because of the gamma changes,  the view became too sharp , don't like the look of the sea, sunrise, sunset. also the colors are looking less vibrent and the view is darker then once That's why i downloaded back the old version of the 3.52 and chooen  the option to not update the viewer autmatically. I could enjoy the old view and didn't have to update all the last months. But today there was a new update and this time i had to update or it didn't let me to enter to SL. So without a choise i updated it ...and the same issue now...I see back the new view which i don't like and really bothers me. I also have a land and i see everything different, too sharp, different water. Its like the shiny waters, too much shiny. . sunset ,. sunrise , which are less nice then once.. doll colors and from some reason the view is darker too and it's bothering me. especailly when most of the time i like to use sunset view and now all the view is too dark especially at sunset.  There is also a nother weird issue which started after the update. If i tp to a place and the things start to rezz, then all the things which still not rezzed are pink. just pink color on my screen, on things which don't rezz yet. takes abit of time till they rezz and then it's ok but still it bothers ..like this it's on any place i tp too.  I wanted to ask if there is a way to download the older version of the viewer and without having to update to the new version ? Or if there is  a way to change the view on this new version  to similar as it was before, months back, on the older version ? also how to make the view look lighter as once and get rid of the pink color on each thing that didn't rezz yet ? I m really clueless about all the gamma setting or things like these. so if someone can explain me will be very helpful. I just having really hard time with this view  and have hard time to get used to it. .... thank you :)

I don't think it's a computer or monitor , because i have a new one....maybe it is poorly made skin which i just noticed it now more....after the update...as for now i still have this problem but will try what you adviced.. thank you both for helping

[Is it allowed reselling breedables ?]

I m new to the breedables still...trying to breed dogs and cats. but still new that's why i m asking.

When i checked some places with people who sell them too, i found sometimes breedables boxes for very cheap and bought it.. many of these i don't wanna use. just taught to try to sell them for more... My question is- is it allowed to resell breedables in second life? ( kittycats, biobreeds )?  like buying the boxes for cheap and  try to sell them for more ? or it's only allowed to sell boxes that came from animals that i breeded them together and feeded ? an answer will be helpful.. thank you:)

[My avi skin on the inner arms is ruined since the last viewer update]

Since the last update of the viewer with the  gamma correction, not only all the view changed for me and became different colors , brightness and became sharper ( sea, sky, plants. sun ) ...it's too sharp...and different.

But since yesterday i only noticed what happened to my avi skin on the inner arms. where is the connection between the front texture of the skin and the back one...suddenly i see there line which is very noticeable, and from both sides of the line which cross the arm, so the front side is lighter skin and the back is darker... which looks so bad and not natural....not the look i wanna be with ... but i saw it fine before this update....

I tried everything. clearing cache, reintall viewer, removing alpha and tattoo layers...rebaking alot on quiet regions ,,,wear other skin and the back to this one...but nothing helps. i noticed that even with many other skins i also see it with this problem , and only with a few i see it fine...

Someone told me that maybe because the sharpness became so high after the gamma correction .  then this is shown too on the skin and very noticeable...

I m really picky with skins and like that one and don't wanna change it..i m with it for so many months...and only some other skins which i don't like at all didn't have that problem....

What can i do to fix it? or maybe it will be fixed in the future ? maybe i m  overreacting, but i really hate how it looks now, and skin look is important for me.....

oh ok,, big thanks for everyone's help...i guess i will have to try these, but i m not really expert about it.   is it any way to control gamma on the viewer itself ?

also i noticed another thing which happened. i have a potted plant in my land. it didnt change color like the others...it's  not the kind with alpha texture, seems to me like more sculpted one.....now it is messed up since the update.all the leafs has other shape , not as smooth edges as before , it's like he got deformed on the sculpted leafs.......what can i do now to fix items that changed this way? and looked nice before but far from it now ? i paid money for these and now don't like them:( ...

Hello..

I have 2 questions , hopefully someone can help me.

The first one is about the display/view  on the viewer. I m using the viewer 3 from the second life site, the normal one, and yesterday there was an update before I entered to SL.. Since then the view on the viewer is changed for me. It's not major changes , but still very noticeable and i don't like it all . I see everything a bit darker.. Lets say where i live in my land and i put sunset as i always then I see the sunset and sun a bit different from before, and the the sky and sea is darker from before, it creates more darkness which i don't like or enjoy... Even the leafs of some plants I have on my land they changed.. They are now very dark green and before i had them on normal green. On other Sims I noticed it  changed as well....It really bothers me , since it changed all my view and how i see the things which i liked before but not anymore, especially because i have a land, and i liked how it looked once but not now. .I liked when it had some light as before...does more people experiencing this since yesterday ? And there is something i can to fix it ? If someone knows, please tell me...

The second question is about the friend list...this problem started already since a month ago and it's not fixed yet , even until now. My friend list on the viewer is fine and i can see all my friends there, and also on the dashboard on the main page of second life, i see them all...but when i go to "my secondlife" section through the site here..i see that it's not updating there anymore. lets say if i m friending or unfriending someone, it's not updating on "my second life" section anymore...people i unfriended, i still see them there as friends and new people i added, they not showing up there at all...it was fine a month ago..but it became this way later and not fixed until now....also when i m inworld, in the viewer itself , SL viewer, then even tho i see a new friend i added on the list..So when i open his profile , instead of he will be showing up as friend, there is a button to add him as friend , just like we not even friends.. so in the inworld when i open profiles , it's the same problem as well....i tried to add the friends through my second life section on the site too, and even tho they accept , it's not helping and it's still like that....Is it just for me ? Or everyone experiencing this problem the last month ? Is there something i can do to fix that ?

Any answer will be helpful., since I really need to know and not managing to solve these issues.... Thanks :)

[About the new chat update which is not comfortable to use]

Since I started to play second life,,the V3 is my favorite,i have tried others but i didn't like them since i found them not easy to use as the second life viewer 3 and i also prefer how the graphic looks on viewer 3.

But yesterday was the update in the chat box which i found really really not comfortable to use, and it's taking out all the fun and confusing. Everything is in the same window, including groups . But what is really bothers is that when someone im , i don't get anymore the little square with his profile picture above on left side. i only get the message pop up, and the chat tab is highlighted in orange.. And sometimes i don't even see the message pop up due to lags and can miss ims. so everytime i need to check the orange tab  to see if someone imed me , even tho it flashes many times without that to happens, because mny times it's just a group message, and i have many groups....So i always need to check for nothing instead of focusing on other things. 

Other thing is that sometimes in the talk i wanna minimize the chat window with the person, cause i m doing something and it bothers on the screen , or when  we stop talking for a while, and once the square with his picture was above after i minimized and i could get back to him later, which was so easy. now when i minimizes it's the all chat window, and it's lying on other side and not comfortable and i see big conversation tab minimized instead...

It's so not easy to use and so not comfortable and i think that even if there was an update in chat window so still the option to have separate windows with the squares pictures like once, should have been added to preferences , so if someone don't like it he can go back to this option. For many people it was much easier like before , and they can't change it back and it's a shame they give up on the viewer for that..The problem is that i also don't like that other viewers and i really liked that one, but now even that one is not comfortable anymore...

Please change it back or just add the option to have separate windows like once.. It will help to many people...It was so easy and fun before ....and i really don't want to switch viewer :(

[cant zoom lately real life pictures on profiles]

Hello. i use viewer 2. and a few days ago something has changed on profiles for me. interests now on blue , notes are on other place , and a few more things that i dont bother but one thing that does bother is that now i cant zoom real life pictures anymore. before i could, now its says - click to zoom and i press but the picture wont get bigger.

its ok on normal profile pictures , just not the real life ones. anyone got this problem too ? someone knows how to fix it ? it will be helpful.  thank you
