Brand new Mack Pro, 8 Ghz, i7 2.6Ghz with quad processors. Mountain Lion I was at the Vintage Fair 2012 which has been completely full almost non stop of Avatars and very laggy. I was on Firestorm and with the above would crash periocially and movement was hard. I switched to V3 and all but stopped crashing was easier to walk and i could run even in Ultra mode. However at times mesh items stopped showing and the last hour even parts of buildings stopped displaying. I went back to Firestorm and I could see but the lag when trying to walk is way worse and crashes again with texture discard messages. I believe the SL viewer uses my quad processors more effeciently just wish we could stop all the anomallies. Begging someone to work on speed speed speed speed speed speed speed speed :) for V3. Nice job on the interface redesign. I'll stay with V3 now if I can see mesh reliably.

Im laughing because I didnt quite know the spelling of oggling not being an everyday word. I love MAC OS. Noticed sound not 100% even outside of SL but clears up quickly. I love running in Ultra mode 100% so far! Lion and MPro with no more moving hard drive and Retina Finally i can take a deep breath in SL and go wow! Cheers for less lag

After rebooting voice started working and music is working. I upgraded another MAC and remembered both upgrades required a java update. I think but can't remember for sure that voice and music require java to be updated. Everything is working now. Perhaps Java. This may not help but I would try it if you've exhausted options. Run a character test, clear cache's and restart. Then put everything on again.

@Cato, Nice Pic. How much of your inventory does that purse hold? 5000 items? lol @Valerie, depth of field is awesome in that one. Still trying to get my settings to even be useable. Well done!

Good luck with it. Your braver then me running SL at the same time . I forgot to mention once I downloaded it, I still had other software updates to do. So you might check software updates once your all done. By the way been running in Ultra mode now non-stop even on busy sims .

I was on Lion so didnt look this up before upgrading so I didnt reserach this question. According to MacWorld written in June so not sure how accurate. http://www.macworld.com/article/1165460/mountain_lion_what_you_need_to_know.html Will I need to be running Lion to upgrade to Mountain Lion, or can I upgrade straight from Snow Leopard? According to the information Apple has provided with the developer preview, you need to be running at least the latest version of Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.8) to install Mountain Lion.

Lion is great and Mountain Lion is faster. Just upgraded on Wed on a new Pro I picked up. It took about 3 hours to download and installed flawlessly. However I've read some people had issues. I did a search on "mountain lion install issues" to see what peopel were experiencing but none of these happened to me. I did quit all apps but not sure its necessary as it will close what's necessary when done. I personally would not run a heavy app like SL while downloading. It does go to white screen for quite a while after down load about 10 mins or less then rebooted and came right up. And, it's quick! Much faster than Lion. I'm not sure this is an issue yet but I noticed on Firestorm i had no ability to talk using voice on SL. I'm going to try a different viewer and see if its jsut Firestorm. Best of luck wiht it. I love it!

Ok, a guys view but girls listening to guys about fashion can be hazordous . I think the first shape has softer eyes and a pleasent approachable, though very subtle, smile. In the second the eyebrows seem tense a little bit. cool, it may be SL is already acting as a virtual simulator for things we love in RL and sometimes visa versa. I do wish i had my avs hair in RL .

Just the ones I mentioned only becasue i looked them up. After seeing your question, I did go to brides.com with a friend whos getting married and she tried it, it was very rudamentory and almost insulting it was so bad, lol. I see a market for a real html or flash plug in possibly driven by the SL engine as virtualization reaches the consumer. If someone could make it work with mobile devices, woah!
