There used to be a time when LL gave a crap about sim owners and would at least try to get you an answer on questions like how long etc.... Those days have long since past however and we sit in the same queue and the general users. My sims been off line over an hour as well. they are pushing out a new build and there was suposed to be rolling restarts. Now a lot of sims are off line, and no one is updating us with information. I too tried to get information from support who basicly told me till the maint window is done there is nothing she can do. Well gee thats helpfull too maint windows normally have projected start AND finish times. LL only gives a start time so our sims could be off line indefinatly by her answer... so dumb... I wish somone from LL would try using their own support to see how utterly useless it is anymore.

That's another one of those gray area's, the difference between them and us in SL, they have a legal department that says yes or no to such things, and will handle any issues arising from that decision.

Second life is full of passions, both positive and negitive. It is the most diverse enviornment you will ever encounter. Just things to keep in mind is the bigger picture, is not normally found in the comments of those who frequent the forums. Like lobiests, most people out here have their own agenda and causes. While some causes may be sxpressed more loudly then others, for instance the Viewer wars currently washing over the customer base. Fact gathering is always the best bet before taking any action, Pole the players in game like they used to. Use the data you already gather and take it to heart, if a disturbing trend is there, find out the cause. Most of all if there is an issue or trend that concerns a spacific group, like land owners or renters or a wider net like premium members, you should try to isolate that group in poles to insure you have an accurate assesment of the issues. And lastly, don't take anything too personally, with so many passions and opinions, people often forget there are other people on the other end.
