Purist or Refiner SL shooting style

have heard this but did not found any info, looked for about 2 weeks or so (

my guess is purist is someone who just takes the photo in SL and that's it

 

the refiner is someone who then edits then edits it in Photoshop or something

Purist, the best I can explain, is a photographer who takes photos on location in world and uses real world concepts and puts them into SL. These photographers use in world lighting and the location in world to create their photos. It CAN be edited although its usually less editing than other types of photography and tends to focus on only unavoidable "blemishes" such as hair sticking through a neck, fingers in a hip, etc. 

Keep in mind that each photographer has their own style and my definition may not cover all purist photographers.
