Nope. Or ... yes, but not if you want to completely clear cache. Doing it with the "clear cache" button in Preferences doesn't wipe the roaming files. The only way to get at those is to use the "manual" procedure I pointed you to. And the only way to clear your personal settings, as I described in my last note, is to use the procedure that I referenced there. Personal settings are not wiped out even if you reinstall your entire viewer, so if they are borked the new installation will be too. Each of those sets of instructions are about as clear as they can possibly be. If you;re having trouble following them, find a friend.

You shouldn't have needed to re-install the viewer. If you did it anyway, though, did you do it the right way? If not, you probably still have some of the hidden files from your first installation and hey can be messing up the new installation. See http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-Second-Life/ta-p/1375231 . In the future, if you get the VFS error message, all you should have to do is a manual clearing of your cache (not just hitting the Clear Cache button in Preferences). See http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_cache_clear
