Sound and mic work perfectly on my PC and laptop but i can not get a peep on Viewer, Phoenix or Firestone,

On PIreferences in all cases the audio is red.although ticked  My computer speakers are clear - no red warning.

this has gone on for some time  SL without sound is useless

Scattering threads all over the forums about the same problem really makes it difficult for anyone to help you.  I answered one of the two threads you have going over on the "Answers" section.

Stick to one thread if you really want some help.  The Answers section of the forums doesn't make it easy to respond to a thread that you created (it's unfortunate that LL chose this software for a forum but it's all we have so we make do).  To respond in Answers the preferred way is to use the "Options" in the upper right corner of your initial post in your thread and "Edit".  Or you can use the "Permalink"..........it can be difficult to find your response that way but some of us will look until we find it.  The way you are doing it with 3 threads so far (that I've seen) is not likely to get you any help at all.
