Is it something you recieve when you try to log into a Second Life viewer? In that case, in might not be that they didn't install correctly, but that they're out of date, etc. Go to the website of the company from whom you bought your computer. Somewhere on their website should be a place where you can update your video card drivers. Even brand new computers might come with out of date drivers. (I had mine installed remotely by the support team of the computer company I bought my computer from, when I found out that the drivers were out of date right out of the box.)
