What is this credit limit for Lindens?

I own land & recently started this avatar, so i have clothes, and additional items to purchase to get my avatar established. When i tried to purchase Lindens, i was told i had a limit of 30 USDs a month???? What is this? On my previous account, this was never an issue - why is this happening now? How do I raise my limit?  The land I own cost more than 30 USD a month!

Hello CynicaLoner. You are almost 1 week old only in SL. Your limits start to get increased the first time you purchase lindens, gradually till to reach level 1 (2,500US$). Your land tier will be billed to your credit card and not taken from L$.  This has always been the case (since I can remember back to 2007 anyway) so would have been the same for your 'previous account' - unless you've been here a lot longer than most of us :-)
