Trin1
I'm sorry but I don't know which section to put this in. I have a Fish Hunt PRO Rod R5 and want to change the colors of it, but I can't do it properly. All I can do is change the color of the entire thing one color.I've seen people with them all different colors so I know it can be done.Is there some kind of "for dummies" guide to changing the color properly? Ariel Vuissent
This is a question best directed towards the creator of the item. You might get lucky here, but most likely few, if any, of us know anything about that particular object. Check your inventory for a help notecard; click the item and see if you get a menu at all, and if that menu has a "help" option; see if the creator has a support group; and/or contact the creator specifically and ask how to do it. Trin1
No note card as the item wasn't boxed, no menu when clicked it just casts the line. I guess I can ask some of the other fish hunters, but it's easier for me to read a forum post than a constantly moving chat window. I'll give it another hour to see if someone can help here then I'll seek help further in world.
Ariel Vuissent
How are you coloring it? Via HUD, or by editing? If it's by HUD, I don't know how the HUD works, so I'm not sure how one would use it to color individual parts. If you're editing it manually, try choosing "edit linked parts," then click the part you want to recolor, then tint. Do the same with each part you want to change the color of. That's the best I can do without knowing the specific product.
Trin1
Yep, you edit it using manual edit. Edit linked parts worked fine, I never noticed that before. Now there are a few other things I can mod that I couldn't do properly before. Thank you for teaching me a new skill. It may be every day knowledge to everyone else, but it was very useful to me. Ariel Vuissent
I didn't learn that particular skill until I'd been in SL about a year, myself. I thought you were editing using a menu or HUD And since every HUD is different, I wouldn't know how to work it. Manual editing works for pretty much anything you have mod perms for, though. Have fun customizing!
