Waves for Surfing with low Lag (no temp rezzer)

I hope this is in the right place, otherwise feel free to move it :)

On our homestead we had a nice beach with a few surfboards and waves to surf.
Unfortunately they were all temp rezzers and removed by our landlord because of the lag they caused (and she was right with that, things are much smoother now).

We both don't wanna give up on surfing in front of our house, so my question is:
Are there any surfable waves available which are not temp rezzers?
Is there a way to make surfable waves without using temp rezzers?

Are there any surfable waves available which are not temp rezzers?  Such things depend entirely on what you mean by 'surfable'.  If you have surfboards that interact with the waves they are probably scripted.  You'd need to get waves scripted for the same system in order for them to work together.

Is there a way to make surfable waves without using temp rezzers? Yes.  Temp-rezzers don't do anything clever, the waves or whatever are simply set to be automatically deleted in a minute or less.  An alternative system would move them back to the start position instead.
