How Do You Tell If a Friend Has Cancelled His SL Account? Urgent!

Hello, people.

I have a friend (and a Friend) who told me his has closed his SL account (actually he closed 2 that he had) and I need to know if there is a way I can tell this ASAP.

He still shows up in my Friends List.  And if I click it, I get his profile.  And if I IM him, I just get the "User if Off-line; Message will be saved" thing.

I do not want to go into why, but it is *very* important for his sake to know if he has closed these accounts.

If the account was closed, his profile would not appear in search anymore. He just may be away for an undertermined period of time.

If the accounts have been closed and the avatar names are in your Friends list, they will remain there until you remove them.  However, Val is correct, you will not be able to find them in search even if they are on your list.
