Can't click on menus :(

I signed up for an account on Second Life and downloaded the game. I can sign in fine and do a lot of things. I have a problem that I cant click on menus on windows.

1. I click on my profile and click on edit because the page is blank. I see a list of words next to > arrows, but when I click them, nothing happens.

2. When I click on the avatar button, I see the categories at the top and I can mouse over them to make them highlight. When I click on a category to see what avatars are in it, nothing happens.

3. I click on the desitnations button and I get a large window with different type places. If I want to go to areas for newcomer and go to click it, nothing happens.

I have gone through my preferences and do not see anything there that talks about not being able to click? I dont know what I'm doing wrong.

 

EDIT: I went to preferences and to the setup tab, but there was nothing for cache there. I clicked the privacy tab and saw clear history and pressed that. I pressed all the tabs until I found the cache button which I found in advanced. After doing that, I logged out and restarted my computer. I logged back in and I can click on things now. Thanks for the help even though things were in the wrong spot.

Hello MichaelSuave and welcome to SL Forums. They work all for me. Try to clear your cache under your Preferences --> Setup tab, restart your computer and relog. See if that makes any difference.
