Why is voice unavailable in multiple sims since the last Second LIfe Viewer update??

Since the last Second Life Viewer update; voice is unavailable in many sims.  Even in infohubs where voice was working

until the last update was installed?  Can you please tell me how to fix this so voice will work again for me?  This update

was mandatory and not having voice sucks totally.

There seem to be problems with the ViVox servers on some sims, possibly related to recent server upgrades, but it is also possible that your own viewer is borked.  You can try doing a clean re-install (not simply installing a fresh copy on top of what is already there) to see if that helps.  See >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=fs_clean_reinstall for instructions that work for any viewer.   Also, take a look at http://blog.nalates.net/2011/05/08/second-life-voice-problems/ for other voice suggestions.

BTW, that upgrade to your viewer was NOT mandatory.  Almost none of them are. The only reason you got it was that you have the "Automatic Updates" option checked in Preferences.  If you don;t want updates or want to get them only when you ask for them, UNcheck that option.  You can always go back and re-install any earlier viewer, or a TPV.
