Where is the my Mode Menu?

I want to switch from Basic to Advanced Mode, but the Basic/Advanced Mode menu does not appear on my login screen. I've logged out and in, closed SL and oped it again. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled. How can I get the Mode menu to appear so I can switch from Basic to Advanced mode?

If you are using the latest LL Viewer (3.2.0) then there is no mode menu.  Basic and Advanced have been combined into a single viewer.

If you are using a version of the viewer that has Basic/Advanced modes, you should see the mode switch button:

1.  Near your password entry box on the startup screen, or

2.  In the upper right near your $L balance when you are in world.

If you don't see those, you are in the newer single mode viewer and already have all the Advanced functions.
