Hello knogen and welcome to SL Questions & Answers. My feeling is that it would be better to post your question in SL Forums under General Discussion or Favorite Destinations Category. However a first suggestion is that you can use the search in world looking for Places --> Clubs. When you get the results, sort by Traffic : High to Low and this way you will find easily clubs full of people. Have fun!

SL is an online world and therefore 'open' 24 hours per day.  The busy places change as different people around the world log in and out to suit their timezones.  It is an easy mistake to think a place is "always empty" just because there isn't much going on when you happen to visit.  The same place could be packed just a few hours later.

All that makes it particularly difficult to recommend anywhere without knowing your timezone.  Best thing to suggest is that you look at places that seem to match your area by name, interest or whatever and ask around to find their best time.  In some cases it may even be worth adjusting your online times to get to your best choices at the best time
