The typically happens when you use multiple viewers on the same computer.  The caches for all viewers tend to be in the same location on your computer and sometimes the clothing you were wearing when you dressed using one viewer  then you change viewers and see clothing you were wearing the last time you used the viewer.  It gets more complicated if you also have multiple accounts with multiple viewers.  I believe something like that has caused your problem.

The "fix" is to clear the caches for all the viewers you have on your computer (if you also have multiple accounts, you must clear the caches for each account on all the viewers you have installed on your computer........it can get tedious if you have more than 2 viewers and 2 accounts).  Normally simply launching the viewer but not logging in, going to preferences and clearing the cache using the "clear cache" option the viewer has built in........do that for each viewer (and if more than one account, also each account).  Don't log in until you've cleared the caches for all your viewers and accounts.  While you are clearing your caches use the move cache option to move the caches to a different location on your computer for all but one viewer for one account (say your main)........the point is to keep the caches at different locations on your computer so that one account or viewer is not picking up any cached clothing, textures, or objects from any other account or viewer.  Sounds confusing when I type it out, but it's really not.

Not to scare you even more but if that does not clear up your problem you'll need to manually clear the caches by deleting them from your computer entirely.  If does not harm the installation since the viewer will rebuild a new cache the first time it's launched after deleting the cache.  Since you have moved your caches on your computer you'll need to make a note of it's location by looking at the "cache location" box next to the clear cache button.  It's probably best that you make a note of  where you moved the cache when you did it..........or just skip the clearing cache using the viewer option.  To manually delete the cache, go to the lacation it's stored on your computer and delete all the files in the final folder (it's probably named "Cache").

One of the two methods should fix your problem.  You will notice that it will take a little longer for things to rezz around you and you may be a particle cloud for a few minutes after logging in the first time after clearing the caches.  Like I said, it can be tedious but by moving the caches to different locations on your computer you shouldn't have the problem anymore.
