Jo Yardley
I'm experimenting with the day cycle settings for my region and must confess I'm a bit confused. What I am trying to do is create a 24 hour day cycle that is the same as where I am in RL, in Europe.I own the region and know I should somehow mess with the day cycle thingy. But I just don't know where to start.Enviroment editor. new preset, etc.But then the tabs...The yellow triangle seems to give my time in RL, so if I tell that triange with a key that I want lithg setting 9am at 9am, will the region have light setting 9am when it is 9am here in my RL?In that case, should 1 key marker not be enough?Or does the cycle in SL still last shorter then in RL?Is there even a way to create a 24 hour cycle? Cerise Sorbet
Hi, the cycle editor shows a 24 hour cycle for reference, but it will still be played back compressed into the Second Life 4 hour day. There is no provision right now change the real cycle length, or pin it to match what is happening in real life. The knowledge base page for this one isn't bad. Jo Yardley
Thank you very much, I thought they might have changed something with the new version viewers, alas. I found this very old Jira about it; https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3893 Lets hope it changes some day.
